I think I know the answer will probably be to wait...but I was wondering anyway.

I was at the doctors with my DP this afternoon and we were both offered the flu jab. I didn't want to say 'what if im pregnant' because for some reason i just felt silly saying that...prob because i have held off on a few things 'if' im pregnant over the past few months. And I lost a little faith when I had my m/c in dec...i'd had thrush and the doctor said it was ok to use the medication (you know the 6 days stuff you insert)..then i had a mc and read that you shouldnt use it...

Anyway....so just wondering what your thoughts are with having the flu jab if in early stages of pregnancy. I just told the doctor i'd come back next week when i had more time lol....as i'll know then.

Yeah Nefertiti I'd be the same as you and to be safe I'd wait until I knew for sure whether I was pregnant or not. Then its an easy decision either way.

yeah I would be the same but then I don't think I would get a flu jab anyway only because everyone I know who has it ends up sick as a dog.

Ive never had it before either...and touch wood, never get the flu either.....but for some reason felt i should this year. I know a few ppl who get it, and none seem to get the 'flu' from it. I remember ppl used to a few years ago though.

I ddint get it last year as I was preggers and got the worst flu I can remember....at 40weeks preg. Tom arrived a week later as I was just starting to recover. Now I wouldnt recommend doing it that way.

Its one of the questions they ask you before you get it done, so they dont recommend it if preg. I dont think they really know either way if it does anything to an unborn bub, but it would just end up being something else for you to stress over if you were pg!

Sounds like you did the right thing...I do recommend them if you're not pregnant though...I never get the flu when I've had the jab, will be getting it this year too.
