I know that most of you, being parents, will find it hard to reconcile as well, but I've just seen in the paper this morning that yet another child has died of unexplained injuries.

Here I am, fighting tooth and nail to have a child to cherish, and parents every week are abusing and killing theirs.

I say sterilise them, every one of them responsible for hurting their babies intentionally, no exceptions, and throw them in jail to rot. Or, even better, send them to prison in Singapore.

IMHO

I agree. I feel for you Ginger and it sucks that good people are fighting to have children and those who have them easily, aren't looking after them.

I totally know what you mean Ginger - I feel so very very sad and angry everytime a baby/child is murdered. It feels like it is occuring almost on a weekly basis at the moment.

I wish people like us who love our babies and would never hurt them, were all able to reproduce rampantly, and those horrific monsters who keep killing "our" babies all had their private parts turn gangrenous and fall off.

I just don't understand how they can do it.

Me either

I remember hearing on the news a while back that those animals who killed Nia Glassie would do all those horrific things to her because, and I QUOTE " she had an ugly face"

I just can't bear what is happening. Every time I watch the news and hear more tales of murdered babies I just sob my heart out, and hold my little one closer. I can truly understand how this must make you feel Ginger....

Wasn't the child who died today in foster care too? Just watching the news at the moment. Either way I don't understand it either. So wrong.

Grrrrrr!!! Makes me sooo soo angry as well!!! I know toddlers/3 yrs olds can be hard to deal with, but SERIOUSLY!!! They're helpless!!!

What also gets me is this probably wasn't the first time he was abused, it could have been going on for months.

SEE SUE BRADFORD! Your anti-smacking LAW DOES NOT prevent CHILD ABUSE!!

All that anti-smacking law does is prevent good parents from disciplining their children.

Hehe. A friend of mine had a good idea - he was with his grandchildren and one of them was playing up merry hell. The little boy stood his ground and told his grandfather that he couldn't do anything to him because he wasn't allowed to smack. Sooo, his grandfather told him that was quite right, but he could always fail to stop the little boy's older brother from thumping him Apparently the rest of the afternoon out was much more pleasant

The Herald online. I suppose I shouldn't really call it 'the paper' ... should call it 'the computer screen'

Hear, hear! It just makes me so sick thinking about the precious kids who don't even get a chance at life because they were unfortunate enough to be born to BAD parents.

Or take their babies off them at birth - no second chances - and give them to parents who can't concieve yet would love and cherish a child as they deserve to be.

But do you know what I think is the saddest part, these kids are going to grow up and do the same thing so its a neverending cycle. Unfortunately foster homes aren't much better, these people need to be stopped before having access to kids, every parent should have to do a parenting course.
