Has anyone here taken this before??? how did you go about getting it (besides the obvious going to the docs!)???

DH and i had agreed to start TTC#3 in august but DH is constantly asking me if we can get pregnant now!! (impatient man!!) but the thing is - I havnt had my period for about 5 months now!! i was getting them after i had Astin but i dare say that they were just pill induced as i was on the mini pill so as soon as i stoped taking them my AF stopped and i am obviously not ovulating either (no im not preggas either)...

Any advice is muchly appreciated

As its a prescription drug you will have to get it from the dr (I just had a look at the box I have in the cupboard).

But the reason I have it is to stop bleeding not bring it on.

Hi there

Provera can be used to bring on AF but also to stop AF if you've had it for awhile.
Weird I know!

When I get prescribed Provera it's to bring on an AF for TTC.

Could go to ways about getting it when visiting the dr;

Say you are TTC again and wanted to bring on AF to get the ball rolling

or

Say you haven't had an AF for 5 mths and wanted to have an AF cos you wanted to make sure down there has a bit of a clean out (it was suggested to me a few years back that I have this as I don't have a natural AF, the dr reckoned women need to have a bleed at least once a year to keep things healthy inside -not sure if that is true).

Hope that's the kinda thing you were wanting ???

Good luck with TTC!

I had no problems getting it Amber, as I was bleeding something bad. Ask you dr about it and explaining why you want it they should be able to help you out.
