Just wondering if anyone is interested in getting together for coffee, cake & a discussion/showing on cloth nappies (I hope I don't sound like a complete geek?! ).

I've been seeing lots of interesting looking naps in the photo gallery & would love to see some in real life & find out what works/doesn't work for you. We've been using MCN's since Liam was small but so far haven't ventured past fuzzi's & a couple of Tweedles.

So is anyone keen? I am more than happy to host it at my place provided there's not an overwhelming response (!) as our place isn't exactly huge. Chocolate cake supplied . Oh & I live in Devonport.

Sally

yeah I would be keen. we live in glenfield, so Devonport isn't too far away. I don't have a huge stash, but could bring a couple of peapods, berry plush, snazzipants and foxybots along for you to have a look at/play with.

I work on Wed & Fri so anyother day of the week is good with me

I would be keen as well. I don't have many either as we've just started going almost 100% cloth but I could bring along some bumgenius 3.0, real nappy, honeychild (although you already have fuzzis) and itti bitti d'lish.

I'd like to see a few other brands as well.

Wed is out for me too - our AN coffee group.

I'm in Taka - I won't worry about bringing fuzzis and bum genius then but I could bring along my bamboozle and my bitty boo (which I hopefully will be getting tomorrow).

Wed is my coffee group day as well.

If you make it Thurs or Friday I can see if AN_E wants to come along as well.

Bizzy, we are about a 30 min walk from the ferry terminal. I (or someone else possibly) could pick you up from there?? We have a carseat. Just an idea.

Lilfatty - definitely bring along DH - I'm sure he can handle a roomful of babies & women all discussing nappies .

I will send PMs to you all before then with my address details.

We are in Beach Haven and keen! I can bring a few naps, although it sounds like Emma will have most things covered, eh Emma Would anybody object to me being a bit of a nana too and bringing my knitting along? I am working on a pair of purple striped longies for DD...

Would a relative newcomer to Oh Baby be welcome or are you running out of space? I'm a regular on TNN and have some really scrummy nappies. My favourites are made by a North Shore mum.

If Sterryn is coming it would be great to catch up with her too.

Scarecrow, you're more than welcome. The more, the merrier . It should be a fun morning & I'm really looking forward to meeting you all & seeing some cute naps. I have prewarned DH that I'll likely be on the computer that night ordering some new nappies!

I'm definitely not trying to put anyone off but like I said, our house is small. Just so you all know. But I've had coffee group here so we will all fit in.

I'd better double the choc cake recipe too

A scarf - I haven't knitted since I was a teenager (which is half a lifetime ago) so I'm relearning. But it does have stripes so I get to switch colours

Just to let you know that I sent you all PMs a few days ago with my address but please let me know if you didn't get yours.

Oh & I should've said to please park on the road as there is limited space in the driveway.

See you all tomorrow morning girls. Looking forward to it.

Had a great time. But really, was my baby the only one trying to get into everything, or did some of the other toddlers get more curious after I left.

Freesia, was it your baby that shares a birthday with Lucy? (i.e. 14 January)

Lol Robyn, I didn't notice that Lucy was getting into everything (anymore than anyone else anyway!). It gave me a good education into what Liam will be like in a few months as we clearly have no idea

I have been out of the loop - seems OHBaby deleted me off replies to be emailed - oh well, have I missed this "meeting up".... I don't have ANY cloth nappies but have been trying to do some research and interested - even for night time I hear some just people only use them.... If I missed the coffee and cake are you able to give me any advice/clues on what to buy for a 6 month old baby Girl - Neve. Take care,

Lissa Sally just Pm'd people who responded in this thread - it wasn't an automated OhBaby thing. But if you post in the cloth nappy thread you'll get some great advice

If you're new to cloth nappies though I'd recommend pockets or All in Ones as they're often easiest - but they generally don't do the distance at nights. I find Bum Genius are great day time pocket nappies and they're One size fits all so they will last generally until your girl is ready for toilet training.

Keep an eye out in this thread though - we do meet ups of various kinds quite often
