to a dawn parade??? I went to the Feilding dawn service and there would of been easily 2000 people there (we were told that Palmy wouldn't of had that many at the dawn service).

I have just gotten home after doing 3 ANZAC services. For some reason this year was really good. My boys were really well behaved at all 3 services. Now i'm just tired.

We went to Palmy, I'm not good at estimating amounts of ppl but I think we would have had 2,000. Anyhow, it was not very long and quite exciting getting up so early (so I & the girls thought hehe). I'm shattered now but I'm usually shattered at 2pm anyway these days We're going back next year!

We went to one at 11am (wasn't keen on getting up too early ) and there were hundreds at the one we went to as well. Apparently this year was the busiest they have seen the parades for years!

I went to Rongotea with DH and the armourers, sadly not as many vets as previous years. The RSA ladies put on a yummie morning tea. It was a great day for it.

Over 3,000 in Palmy!!! Woot!!!

I'd love to go to a "big city" parade sometime though. I saw some on the news today and, well, we had the Salvation Army Band and a lone piper. Nothing wrong with the SA band but honestly, ANZAC Day people? Where's the Army band?!

I was going to go to the 11am one, ended up being still in bed tho, something to do with being up half the night with a naughty gremlin

Maya is so onto it tho, she's been watching the news coverage and she knows all about Turkey and the vets and the dawn parade and poppies, I am so proud of her, so patriotic! She watched the morning services with Willie on TV this morning.

Mum and Dad went to Martin Pl in Sydney, I am so jealous, I love the dawn service there, it is truly spooky and eerie and very fitting.

The Army band were in Auckland as they were on TV1 news as they went and played at the old bandmasters place as he is dying of cancer after the dawn service.

I loved seeing the army band on TV (so can't wait to see them in November) as I know a few of the members (funny that I play for a brass band).

Wow 3000 is a good turnout, I knew our MD was stretching the truth when he said Palmy wouldn't have that many there. Every place had more numbers this year.

We were up at 3.30am and off to the Gallipoli Barracks at Enoggera here in Brissy for a 5am dawn ceremony. We didnt go to the main ceremony we went to a smaller one with the hospital regiment. It was nice. Except it makes me miss home like mad and gets a bit emotional .

We were playing in the Waikumete Cemetary dawn one in Auckland. Apparently 10,500 people were there! Got on the news as well
