I've been getting tireder and tireder. I've been sleeping 9+ hours each night consistently and lately, at work feeling like I want to go have a sleep at about 2pm each day. Over this long weekend I have twice been for a morning sleep and twice been for an afternoon sleep, each for about an hour. I know my endo probably has a large part to play, recently I also had a blood test and it was semi-low in vitamin B12. So I'm going back to the Dr tomorrow to sort that out in the meantime.

Endo people, does that fatigue sound normal for you?
Other people, have you had any experience with vit B12?

I think the only reason Endo would cause fatigue is if you have secondary iron deficiency from heavy bleeding...

If it is any consolation, I'm the same. Shattered all the time and think it is partly seasonal.

I don't think my endo made my tired. But I am generally always tired - but I know that my diet isn't the greatest (eat and drink too much crap) so I should sort that out. I have also had low B12 in the past and yeah you just feel shattered all the time    I was on 3 monthly injections which helped heaps - although it take a few weeks before you start noticing any improvement.

Ask to get tested for EBV and CMV, those are what I have and what you are saying is me in a nutshell (and a few other things too).

Having had both, I'd opt for VB deficiency over endo. Although both cause fatigue, VB deficiency makes you feel extremely fatigued. They may actually put you on a course of injections to get it up. It's actually dangerous for B levels to get too low - and because it's something that happens over a long period usually, unless there is a specific illness causing it (which I doubt in your case, because you'd be extremely ill) you don't really notice until all of a sudden you feel dreadful.

Normal B12 is something between 185-820 if I remember the tens digits correctly (which I probably don't!) and my score was 205. Yes, they'd put me on injections. Again lol

Thanks for the feedback, it's encouraging to know that this 'might be it'. I was wondering about getting a 2nd blood test to see what the difference is since the blood test 3 weeks ago, do you think that'd show anything?

The main reason I had the blood test in the first place was to check for iron levels but they are fine. Beats me when iron and B12 basically come from the same sources!! (And I don't bleed hardly at all, my endo issues are more to do with Ov.)

PS Ginger, you've had both, I read that Vit B12 deficiency usually has more to do with low absorbtion than diet. Do you think the endo hindered your absorbtion or could I have yet another thing wrong with me??

Issues with nurtrient absorption are usually more from other minor issues that can affect people with endo such as leaky gut and candida (which we were discussing in the other thread). Some people who get endo are also predisposed to other digestive issues which in turn affect absorption. It may pay to think more holistically rather than just about the endo IYGIWM. How is your digestion, do you have other symptoms with the tiredness?

I was really constipated but I've introduced heaps more fruit & veg into my diet (a lot less bread as a result) and that seems to have done the trick. Other than that, my digestion seems fine?

ETA: Which other thread?

You sound like you're describing me to a T busymum I haven't had blood tests - the doc I saw just put it down to my endo. I could happily be in bed at 6.30pm each night, but force myself to stay up till 9.30ish...I can sleep 8-9 hours a night and it does stuff all with my energy levels. I have had low VB before and the injection was fantastic in that case...here's hoping it's not the case again cos man that needle HURT!!

i also get really bloated very easily, is that another endo thing?

Vanessa, I get bloated roughly every second day, to the point where I fit the next size up. It's definitely endo for me, but some people find probs with gluten and bloating.

Kate, don't don't don't tell me that the needle hurts!!!!
