Need some ideas for things to do with Hannah. She is up for about 2 hours 4 times a day and she doesnt really take that long to feed now, so lots of free time! These are some things that we do now: jolly jumper, lie under play gym (dont like to do this for too long tho cos her heads a bit flat), tummy time, sitting playing with toys/rattles, reading books, have chats and conversations, look at things outside... Hmmm, seems like lots when I write it down. lol. Any other ideas would be great. Oh and we go for a walk everyday, but usually while she has a nap

Seems like allot of activities Aimee. I also did the same things and now that my Aunt is looking after Zaara she does the same sort of things too. I dont have a jolly jumper and am thinking of getting one.
Cant think of any thing else that you could do with a 4 month old. Zaara also likes to be under her mobile....

Hey you are in dannivegas aye. Take her to see the ducks. I used to take my boys all the time - now the just chas them all over the place lol. Maybe start going to playgroup. Bring her for a drive to Waipuk to see me and my boys lol .
Am trying to remember back that far - mummys mind. Mind you my time was pretty much consumed with the 2 of them.
How about on the odd occassion a bubble bath with her.
Do they have indoor pools where you are? You could take her for a swim. I would have loved to have had the boys in the pools when they were bubs but just not do-able on your wone with two.
Put her in the bouncenett (sp?) while you potter around doing housework and chat about what you are doing.
Far out I really cant think of anything else at the mo. Oh well hope these ideas help you

I can't even remember that far back!
We had a baby hammock attached from hooks in the beam archway in our lounge. She would lie in that for a while and we hung different objects from bulldog clips attached to elastic. we would change the objects every few days and she could pull them down and put them in her mouth..
I think I would take her outside and around the house in her bouncer while I did things.. she just liked to watch at that age.

art! - kids at that age do the most awesome paintings - just make sure it's non-toxic paint, cellotape the paper to her highchair or a table and hold her, dress her in an old top, or just nappy if its warm enough and away you go - also, making playdough, minus the salt (there are recipes you can get without salt.. you'll just have to chuck it away later) and let her squish it etc. we made shakers out of mini pump bottles, or smaller bottles that that, and put rice or stones or whatever and glue the top on - they go nutty cos at that age they love new sounds., um, hhhmm, i cannot honestly remember now, how bad is that - hope thats a few ideas. - most things you can do with older kids you can do with babies - just adapt them to their needs.

just a note though - if you're gonna do painting, have all the stuff ready for a bath - run it and have all towels etc ready - cos otherwise you will find that you wil have a painty baby and can't put her down (speaking from experience!)

Bath with her. I was always paranoid to bath the bubbas so we bathed together and it was really cool. we'd blow bubbles and jump around like crazy...well jake would. even taine now loves getting in the bath and jumping, swimming around.
