We could arrange a meetup for next week. Will txt Emma and see if she wants to come too, encase she doesnt read this!

Lol yea when the thunder hit i waited for it to keep going thinking it was going to be another earthquake, any big truck that goes passed my house and rattles makes my heart pound!

A meet up sounds great, just not thursday, Edens getting her shots

I didnt even know about toddler ballet! Oh im so excited lol, Eden already loves to dance so she will be be going to it when shes old enough!

My stepdaughter Izobel went to the polytec childcare lastyear, she seemed to love it.

I wanted to do PAFT but one of the ladies who runs it and i have a less than nice personal relationship!

PAFT is really good, could you just speak to someone else, and not get that person as a teacher?

Does Izobel live with u? How come she doesnt go to that daycare anymore? Hope its not cos something was wrong there .

Weird how the storm gone already!

Posted By: NeoshasMummy

Yeah it came for like 20mins then over! Not that im complaining

P.S I agree with Kellz bout the PAFT thing MyBelly Surely they can find you someone else then you never have to c that person u dont like. PAFT is so rewarding for both mother and child plus you get to see exactly where they are at and how much they have progressed in a month...... I think I could write a promotional pamphet for them haha

Yea i was talking with a lady from there the day before Eden turned 4months and she said that babies had to be enrolled before 4months else get referred by their plunket nurse and my plunket nurse hasnt even mentioned PAFT!

We have shared custody of Izobel at the moment, we are looking at getting more but lawyers are such a loooong process!

We arent sure why she doesnt go to the polytech daycare anymore, her mum pulled her out from what we can see, and she goes to awapuni under 5's now, which is fantastic, i did my practicum there and was so impressed with everything and everyone there

Lol am going to have to go to woolworths to find out about toddler ballet!

Oh havent u been? Its cool! They set up all this eqipment just for toddlers! Its on every day of the week, for all preschoolers, but the thurs one is just meant for younger toddlers (under 2's I think). Theres a small playground with slide, tunnels, ramps, trampoline, balls, hula hoops to climp over etc heaps of stuff! I think its at 9.30am or 9.45am (have only been once!) but will find out. Yeah the weather is yuk! We are staying home this morning while DH is at work, then this afternoon DH and I are going to the DIY expo thingy and Isla is going to her Nanas!

Posted By: NeoshasMummy

Yeha it was so relaxing to just chill out last night but then I couldnt sleep so I ended up sitting on the computer until 1:30am talking to people on MSN then got up at 7:00 and cooked Bruce baked beans on toast because he looked dnt know if the beans would have helped come to think of it lol

Decided to clean this morning as Neosha has been a lil angel, her room needed a good tidy up. I need to get some shelves because she has about 4 boxes of toys and pictures that I have no where to put and with them being in the wardrobe she redecorates her room everyday with them

Yay for Isla going to her nanas! Neoshas is going to her nanas for the day tomorow!! DIY expo whoops didnt even know it was on! Not that I will be doing any DIY lol

i know how u feel Kellz! my DH actually said "you're not my mum, why would i get you a pressie?"
i just hojpe he remembers he isnt my father when fathers day comes around!

Active prams is on at 10.30 on Thursday morns, yup at the poverty bay club cafe.

went out lastnight, it was so much fun! was supposed to be a girly night but dragged (literally sometimes) a couple of my DH's rigby teammates around with us, it was so funny, and so much fun, i ended up dancing on tables at our clubrooms! town was ok though, i ended up at the irish but it wasnt very good, an was home just before three (and up at 8 with eden )

Oh yea, the DIY thingy was on today, an im about a block from it, whoops was goin to go, but didnt

Will check more often to see what exciting things you girls can plan that I may be able to come along too... or dream about coming along too as my number one nanny (my mum) leaves next week arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!

We go to the Y gym on Mondays and Thursday at 9.30 and music on Tuesdays if we are being brave so if anyone is going to those - see you there I'm the one with the screaming child..!!

Wow 6am! Kellz, i couldnt cope! Eden doesnt normally wake up before 7, but anything before 8 an im a zombie for an hour!
Even Izobel will sleep till 9am! then have a 3hour nap at 12! she just comes and says "daddy im tired" and goes to bed!
but she has decided to start yelling (in the kitchen) "but im not tired daddy!" at 7am, even when DH hasnt told her that she is tired, then she gets more hysterical and runs back to her room jumps in bed and goes back to sleep.

Posted By: Kellz
Date Posted: 12 May 2008 at 12:06pm
Well its was 6.15 am today, and 6.45 am yesterday! Yay! There is hope for a more decent wake up!
3 hr nap at 21/2 years?!!! We get 1 1/2 hrs here but thats good! ot complaining about that at all!

Posted By: MyBelly
Date Posted: 12 May 2008 at 12:58pm
Yea i think 3hours is v long as well for a 2.5yr old! but we dont think she is allowed to nap at her mothers (it doesnt fit into her schedule) so we let her nap here to make sure she is getting the sleep she needs while we have her

Posted By: NeoshasMummy
Date Posted: 12 May 2008 at 2:33pm
She doesnt sleep because it doesnt fit into her schedule??? I think if they need to sleep they need to sleep end of story. Neosha sleeps from 6:30 till 7ish in the moring then has a 2 hour sleep at around 10am then another sleep at around 2 or three. Works for us! YAY Kellz maybe in a couple of days it will be 7am?

What are you all up to tomorow? No music for us, I have just been told Neosha has a mild form of whooping cough!!! I thought they were immunised against it but the doc said that like 5% of they time they can contract a mild form of it and we got it early so yay!! I thought it was just a cold So never the less we will but stuck at home tuesday and wednesday. (except my quick escape to smith city to look at buggies!)

Oh no! poor Neosha! poor wee girl, hopefully its not for very long!

Im not sure what we are upto tomorrow, my car has crapped out so (and DH being a diesel mechanic you would think he would fix it asap for me but nope!) but might try an go to a music group, with a friend, where abouts is it??

am going to go looking for a new carseat for Eden as well, shes getting far too big for her capsule, its going to have to be a forward facing one, it wont fit backwards in our car, but shes almost 9kg so thats ok

Posted By: NeoshasMummy
Date Posted: 12 May 2008 at 6:42pm
Stink about the car!! RE: carseats plunket recommend you have rearward facing until 12kg!!!! Kellz and I were agreeing that our girls are no where near 12kg and there is no way they would allow us to have them rearward, would just make going in the car a nightmare!! Neosha came out of her capsule at about 8 months and she was fine forward facing

Plunket music is on Ormond road at the mangapapa play centre by cake kitchen, ummmm mainly music ask Kellz lol I always forget where she goes

hmmmm, i dont think Eden will be 12kgs any time soon! think i will go into plunket and see what they say tomorrow, see what i can do, Edens really strong in her neck and sits up unaided and has done for about a month an a half, so surely she will be ok in a forward facing seat?

MIght try and make it to the managapapa one, i know where that is!

Better go, have a 5month old getting grumpy at me to have a bath with her!

Posted By: MyBelly
Date Posted: 13 May 2008 at 6:34pm
evening, have been to plunket and gotten a bigger capsule so Eden can stay backwards for about another 3months, the ladies at plunket said that it cant really be helped if she wont fit one of those seats before she turns one.

we are goin to the music thing at st andrews church tomorrow, and then to the plunket morning tea at the OBM clubrooms, at 10 so busy morning for us tomorrow!

Hope Neosha is doing better today!

Posted By: NeoshasMummy
Date Posted: 13 May 2008 at 8:38pm
She has been great!

You can get bigger capsules? may I ask what kind it is and how they are bigger? Like for a larger weight? I want to know so that when I buy another one I get longer use out of it hehe. Im tight lol.

Slow day for us tomorow relaxing and cleaning, will be a busy day Thursday! Coffee thursday morning anyone? Or are you going to the Y again this week Kellz??

Guess what!! Ordered my Phil and Teds SPORT buggy today!! Im paying it off over 10 weeks because Bruce would KILL me if I spent almost $800 out of our savings so its going to be a long 10 weeks until I get it! Hmmm havent decided on colours yet, they said I can choose closer to the time because the pink and yellow will be coming to NZ soon. hmmmmmm

RE:pink I never thought of having a boy in a pink buggy lol... whoops!! I wouldnt buy yellow, just because it would get dirty and yuck, there is a bright blue like really bright and a really bright pink, then navy, black and red.

Im a bit gutted because one of the other ladies told me it was c**p and she wouldnt buy one im worried now, going to go back to smith city and see what they have got for me to test out

I your P&T too hehe thats why im buying one, much less bulky!

We are looking at getting another car, Bruce has one on the yard that he wants me to have, A subaru station wagon which I need but hes seeing what it will cost to have some mods done to it boys and their toys!!

Oh man!!! im sorry i didnt get a chance to come on here yesterday! i was in town this morning for coffee with friends too! i went to the farmers card holders morning, fantastic! 50% off all kids clothing! so i stocked up, DH not too impressed, but then bought a torch for $30 because he "needed one"?!?

i am in desperate need of a new stroller, i have this big bulky blue thing that is too big an the only good thing about it is it has a big carry basket for shopping! My MIL gave it to me when Iz was about 3months so i should really buy another one, but thats more dollars, but might have to go into smith city for a look anyway

I know allllll about boys and their toys, im sure DH loves his car more than me
Any vehicle i get, he has to tinker with or add something to it!

Cars? lol i never hear the end of it!
BTW I am the proud new owner of a 1998 Subaru Legacy GT-S wagon. I dont understand why he didnt choose a later model as our other one is a 2000 but whatever lol I needed a bigger car Its in the shop getting a pod filter, anchor bolts, a touch up paint job and a change of stereo today.

Oh and I got in mega trouble today, I have been using bruces car to go in and out of the Mangapapa play centre driveway which the car is to low for and I have wrecked the two front tires and inside of the mags $1200 worth of damage hes not impressed with me.

How did active prams go this morning guys? I only just popped out to go to farmers and stuck at home since, Neosha now has a TERRIBLE nappy rash as well. Could this be from antibiotics KellZ? Its just sprung up in the last day or so.

Didnt go to active prams as 10.30am is too late for us, cos Isla needs a decent sleep before daycare at 1pm. She goes to be before 11.30am. We did go to ymca and it was way better than last week, a lot less people and Isla coped much better!

Yep that definatly sounds like thrush, poor thing. She will need some antifungal treatment. If its really sore and itchy, a cool flannel on it will help, and plenty of no-nappy time, if poss!
