I was just thinking about painful breasts and wondering if when we all say "my breasts hurt" etc what we all define as breast pain. For me my breasts are tender around the outside, like I've been squeezed my DD's into a C cup and gone jogging or something. It's not an over all ache, like if you smacked your leg and pocked the tender areas.
And second part of the question - did you breast pain change when you got you got pregga's or was it the same as every other month? ------------- TTC #2 |

| I remember mine got sore around the 7 week mark and they felt bruised. I couldnt lie on my tummy and then they felt like someone was sticking a red hot needle in them...Ouchy!!!!!It was bad enough for me to catch my breath and put a protective hand up to them....not great in public! |

nzpiper - do you only get it on one side? I had something like that and it turns out it's indigestion or heart burn - scary I can tell you.
Henna- who's jumping on your breasts? Perhaps you need to let people know that even though they may look like trampoline they aren't. Emmecat - your right the less said, lol  ------------- TTC #2 |

I hope so too Emmecat, I just had to get in a warm bath and take the pressure off them. When I take my bra off they feel so heavy, i think they are bigger and DH isn't even allowed to hug me today they are that painful. Laying in the bath and having the heat sooth them and the water support them was just heaven as soon as I stood up though they just felt huge again. My breasts are normally painful and being a DD pretty damn big, but they do feel worse today then normal - so hopefully...

I get sore and heavy breasts as a premenstrual symptom. It's how I know it is coming up as my boobs are HUGE (well, for me!)
Unfortunately it feels exactly the same as when I got pregnant so I can't say it would be a definite sign you are preggo (if you were me... which you are not... so perhaps?) Good luck though! |

Yea mine seem to be sensitive at times (as in, DH can NOT touch!!) and then not at other times. It comes and goes regardless of pg or not, so I think it is more to do with hormones -------------  |

Oh wow Tracey that sounds positive!! Hopefully a BFP coming soon. Definitely doesn't sound normal, (as in regular, when you're not preggers) or at least not to me - no wonder you've already been testing!
Emmecat, I think we can create a new acronym for your 'symptom' PSN - what do you think? I'm quite looking forward to seeing if I develop PSN myself
I think my breasts are a little bigger this month too, but I've also gained a kilo this month so could be just that. They're not really sore, just maybe a bit heavier feeling. I get sore boobs as a PMS symptom too so was never a reliable pregnancy sign for me, but with this pregnancy I woke up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom and was like "crap, I'm pregnant, my boobs are HUGE!" Mine started about 6 or 7 dpo and felt like i had walked from a hot room to the cold (highbeam), insert emmecats PSN. TMI, but there were erect pretty much for the next week and by 14dpo my nipples were HUGE! It felt like there was icecubes behind my nipples or i had tiger balm on them and my boobs felt like they were on fire, contradiction I know.
My boobs themselves didnt start getting achey until a few days ago. Didnt get sore boobs with af at all. -------------
