I just saw that the Phantom of the Opera is going to be playing on stage at the civic in Auckland in October. Wonder if I can get away with making another trip up there .

I love it, I have the DVD (thanks dad) for the movie version but the stage version is so much better.

I've never seen it! Have seen Chicago, Jesus Christ Superstar, Cats... but never the Phantom!

Ohhhh I want to see it too!!!! I've seen the film, and the stage show on TV but never live
I've seen Cats & Jesus Christ Superstar and they were amazing!!!

I went to it last time when Rob Guest was the Phantom, I'm also a huge fan. It was fantastic. Do we know who's playing the lead? I'd be keen to go again.. oh look there I go again inviting myself!!!

Its on the website who is playing the Phantom not a name a recognise and he's go a medical to only do 6 shows a week so he's not doing the matinee shows.

omg..... omg... I so wish I could go!!! think I could sit through it at 8 months pregnant?? lol I always imagined I'd just have to go to Oz to see it sometime, would be awesome to be able to see it in NZ.

Hmmmm, I didn't realise it wasn't until October. I turn 30 in September, I wonder if I drop enough hints whether my family would shout me the trip - then again flights are so cheap nowadays and the tickets to the show are a good price too.
I wonder what kind of discount we'd get if we did a group booking.

I'm thinking I may ask DH for the ticket for my birthday. My next problem is the boys. They will have to come up to Auckland with me as DH is in the field all October.

I saw something about it last night on the tele and soooo want to go. I saw it in London years ago and LOVED it!! Unfortunately bubs will only be a month old so I don't think I'll be up for a night at the theatre.....bummer!
