I'm not feeling 100%, the morning sickness hasn't really kicked in yet but I am having periodic bouts or queasiness and feeling ick, and very specific about what I want to eat.

Today it was sausage rolls and McChickens None of which are good for me, or bubs either I'd bet. Still, I scoffed 2 sausage rolls this morning, and two McChickens with sweet and sour sauce tonight. And as I type this the very thought of it is enough to make me want to be sick...

But it's not all bad tho. Also had a craving for pineapple and demolished half a fresh pineapple so maybe that about evens it out?

Hehehehe I went through a period where only fillet of fish burgers would satisfy....thankfully I seem to be leaving much of my junk food cravings behind me now and turning more towards fruit and vege....if you ignore my "treat" of hot dog and chips at the zoo today.

I would just about do anything for sushi though if I could have it!!

Anyway, ignoring my cryptic post above, I too am a sucker for "bad" foods, especially burgers ! We do try to make them at home occasionally, but my Big Mac intake is rather alarming 'Homemade' oven baked chips are another one, as is butter chicken *drools*... ummm, what else? 2 minute noodles, and Pods ! OH. Um, and.... uh... *looks at the floor* er... *mumbles something about coffee*

I so know what you mean about the queasiness kicking in!! I do not remember it being this bad last time...
I can't eat anything that I like, the only things I can keep down at the moment is ginger beer (which I used to hate!!) and water...

And I am sooooo tired... I cannot peel myself off the couch!! Which has been ok over the weekend because Andy is here but what am I going to do tomorrow when I have to get up and become a functional member of society again!!

Am feeling so sorry for myself right now!

Ok so I woke up this morning feeling very, very yucky. In fact I woke up in the middle of the night and Willie was cooking a roast (at 1am, he is a strange creature!) and nearly chucked from the smell of it.

Managed two bits of dry toast and marmite (no butter ) and now feel better.

Haha .. I feel SO much better after reading your posts. In the early stages, I felt I wasn't very healthy at all either, and am now glad to have gotten past those yukky weeks and now am being really healthy.

Well so far I've only been craving bad foods!! Wedges with LOTS of sour cream, butter chicken, mexican corn chips with salsa, chocolate thickshakes, chocolate bars, fish'n'chips, potato & gravy, among other things.....grrr no wonder I look like a heffalump!!!
The only thing that REALLY annoys me is that everything I have been craving has been giving me the WORST EVER burps

last time i was mad on cheeseburgers (macdonalds were best) and sour skittles. theyw ere all i felt like eating.
this time i was craving pies early on, 2 weeks of that and the sight of a pie made me want to puke. then it was more healthy stuff like salad and fruit by the truckload, now it seems to be something different daily. cornchips have featured regularly in the cravings charts though!

It's so funny reading about other people's cravings. I have cravings for ghurkins at the moment and brought 3 jars of it over the weekend - I figure they can't be that bad for you!

Paws, Sarah Beth was at the Zoo the day before us, which is probably how we missed her (Mind you, you're the only one of us who knows what she actually looks like!)

Toniellis - Your cravings sound a bit like mine, though at the moment because we can't afford to have takeaways all the time, we're forcing ourselves to eat healthier

And a cheeseburger sounds *really* good right about now !!

Now I am CONVINCED there may be something that McDonalds puts in the cheeseburgers to entice otherwise calm and responsible pregnant women like ourselves...cos for the past 4 weeks I have been dreaming about MacDonalds Burgers and I just cant stop! And I wasnt really a huge fan before I got pregnant, only had McD's once in a while - now I find myself EASLIY getting through 3 hunger buster meals (the one with tEh 2 burgers, chips, coke and sundae)in a week and still wanting more!
Oh the shame.....!!!

Today in our house it's Bakers Delight Spinach and Feta twist and Wave chocolate milk

Am glad that I am 100% over the McD's thing (for now anyway), took Maya there on the way to the hospital yesterday to feed her and the smell made me very queasy...

Lol Jax! I bought the deep fryer a couple of years back so I wouldn't have to spend money on fish'n'chips etc. I usually only use it once a month but lately its been living on my kitchen bench! Really shocking I know....

(Have I told this story already??? Mind blank... oh well...)
I had to take my very pregnant friend to McDs the other day to satisfy her craving for a Big Mac. Her partner is against big American corps and very environmentally conscious, so if she was caught eating McDs she would have been in big trouble.
Somehow she knew I was the woman for the job so got me to run down to the McDs and stealthily buy her a combo. My mission was also to dispose of the evidence later on.

So yeah, McDonalds definitely has something in it that preggo ladies can't resist!

I would imagine that it's only a rumored risk because people say it has recycled pig fat in it, whereas when I used to work there eons ago I looked into the ingredients and there wasn't anything that indicated that... mind you, there is gelatin in it, but that's not quite the same, and the amount is very small. *shrug* Dunno why it would be a problem otherwise? I have had a couple sundaes admittedly, but I'm not a huge raving fan, so it won't be happening that much more often I guess.
