Thought I'd be the first to jump in and say a HUGE HAPPY MOTHERS DAY to all the OB mummies, you are all doing SUCH a wonderful job with your children/families & today is all about US!
Hope you all have a lovely day & that your family spoil you rotten!
Obviously since I am without partner I had to shout myself a present, but that's cool. At least I got something I wanted LOL - a new pair of fluffy flannelette's PJ's.
Soo what did your partners/husbands & kiddies give you?
...HAPPY MOTHERS DAY...

Happy Mothers Day everyone!

Awww Kandice - Happy Mothers Day.
My husband forgot until I reminded him yesterday, then he totally forgot what I had asked for! Not that that is what its about, just annoyed at the lack of thoughtfulness as usual. But I did get a small sleep in, mainly cos I refused to get up!!

Happy Mothers Day
I got nice and spoilt. DH made me yummy pancakes & bacon for breakfast and he gave a me a new top and Ella gave me some chocolates (which she was eying up and I have a feeling I will end up sharing) and a bookmark with photos of her on it.
Although I didn't get what I really want- a peaceful night. Ella has just started teething again, so decided to wake up every couple of hrs and started the day at 6.

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY EVERYONE!!!!
(big hugs to Kandice - kick that boy's butt! And ShellandBella, hope Bella is OK!)
I've been thoroughly spoilt! Maya made me some chocolate brownie and a gorgeous card at school on Fri and has been hiding them in her room, then Willie took her and Mona out early this morning and bought me a dozen yellow roses and two boxes of choccies (which the girls have polished off already). The gremlins gave me a sleep in by not waking up till 8.30am, and Willie made me bacon and eggs for brekkie. So feeling very, very spoilt. Oh and Willie has taken charge of the stew I was going to do for dinner so nothing to do there either!

I made breakfast for DH today!!
He has given me a book (second hand) today but didn't say it was for mothers day. It is "French Women Don't Get Fat". Yet another of the many hints he's dropped recently that he doesn't like the Kg or 2 I put on with he miscarried pregnancy and did lose! He likes skinny woman and I'm not skinny enough it appears! Lovely.

What the heck, Fiona you are TINY. There is no way you need to lose weight, it's hard to even imagine you had a baby, your super skinny. If he thinks otherwise, I'm sorry but he needs his head read. He should love you the way you are.
I could never stand for a guy telling me what to do with MY body or MY life.

Funny thing is in our house, we do nothing for each others birthdays, yet MOthers/Fathers day is always a big deal, I think more for the kids than anything else, coz Maya has been bugging Willie all week about taking her shopping to buy me a present.

Happy Mothers day to everyone.
I got a sleep in as we were up all night lastnight so Xanda slept till 8.15am. Then I promptly got sent back to bed and told to do absolutely nothing. DF hung out two loads of washing and did dishes. (This is all because I had to go to Dr yday, have bad eczema on my hands and it is now infected, meaning I can't feel two fingers on my right hand, they are so swollen.)
He then took us to lunch. We now home and Xanda is having a nice long sleep.
The best part of today though was when Xanda said 'Happy Mummy's Day', to me. Heard DF whisper to him to say Happys mothers day, but he came out with 'Happy Mummy's Day'. Too cute.

Awww, that is so sweet! I can't wait till Ella can say that! And Fiona, OMG! But you're so very wee already! Though I have heard it's a good book, and I LOVE the theory behind it.
I enjoyed a scrummy spesh brekkie and DH is on cooking tonight. Ella and I will take my mum out for a coffee soon 'cause DH is off sharing the love with a deserving mate, and he tried to get me a bathrobe but couldn't decide which one I'd like, so I'll go get it - sweet, means I'll get the one I want!

Happy Mothers Day ladies!
Sounds like you all have had lovely days!
Dh / Oli bought me the new Frank Sinatra Cd which I really wanted for in the car, apparently he was going to make me brekki in bed, but I got up before he could do it...hmmmm..... He did get up to the boy at 7.30, even though I had said I would do it, as DH was awake half the night coughing and spluttering!! Yay a sick DH...nothing better!!!
We went over to see my mum, but thats often a sunday activity for us, so I dont really feel like we have done anything special. DH is out with a mate now (obviously not that sick then....) they have gone out for coffee! Nice for some! I did drop some hints about not knowing what to cook for tea....but didnt get a bite. So I guess my CD was it for the day!!! Dont think DH gets that my 1st mothers day was a little bit special....

Happy Mother's Day everyone
Sorry to hear some of you weren't celebrated in the way you deserve!!
I got a semi-lie-in. DH was let off the hook a little for the fact that my sister is here so she got up and played with Hannah until it was time for her breakfast at 8. I fed her in bed then had a cuppa with my book for half an hour.
DH cooked bacon and eggs for brekkie and gave me a framed photo of me and Hannah.
It's my birthday tomorrow, so he's bought me an eternity ring, so the framed photo was "from Hannah" as I'd told him that he wasn't to buy me a separate gift.
My sister and I have cooked dinner to take around to my PIL's.

Had a great day here !
DH made Eggs Benedict with home made hollandaise for Me and My Mum. Yummy
Natasha made me chocolates : Melted dark Chocolate with swirls of mint flavoured white chocolate over the top Yummy Yummy!!
Alex brought me 4 dark chocolate flakes (hmmm wonder if my girls think I like chocolate)
Had a Mocha at the mall with Mum at lunch time.
Mum brought me some new mugs (from the girls)
DH made me a Mocha for afternoon tea. And he has just made home made basil pesto with spaghetti for dinner.
My life revolves around chocolate coffee and other food as you may have notice so I am a very contented Mummy today.
Happy Mothers Day to everybody!
PS some years I got jack sh*t too so this has been extra special. I think maybe because the girls are all grown up and can organise most of it themselves.

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY LADIES.
I got 2 lovely homemade cards, one from DH and one from Michaela. Michaela's one said "world's best mum" on the front and she'd coloured in some flowers on the inside it had this handwritten poem:
I know we sometimes argue and I sometimes blow my lid.
But I still love you very much, I'm only just a kid.
Sometimes I need to push against the fences you erect.
Even though I know they're there to shelter and protect.
I know you want the best for me, and to keep me from all harm.
I just want you to know I couldn't have a better Mum.
I suspect DH may have helped miss 2 (just a smidgeon).

I had a lovely weekend, actually. Had a sleep in saturday, DH got up and got kids breakfast, I slept in till 8.30! (lol that thats a sleep in) Just hd a nice day together
Then yesterday, got up early to Charlotte, but once Jake was up, I went back to bed and DH got Jake to wake me with pressie, a new handbag and a card, even! I had said I didn't want anything as DH bought me cool new gummies last weekend and I had just bought myself slippers, all I wanted was a sleep in and a card. Dh then cooked me a big cooked brekkie and looked after kids while I slouched round in my PJs till 11am, lol. Then I was "allowed" to watch a dvd I had (miricle on 34th street) DH usually takes over the tele for sports on sundays, so that was a biiiig thing! THEN he cooked a big pork roast, Mum came and DSS even came and bought some choccies and a card...
A lovely nice day, so spoilt!

He he... we'd never heard of partners giving the women prezzies after the birth, then around the time Ella was due someone mentioned it - DH was mortified! 'Whaaat?!? Happy Mummy's day!
I didn't get a sleep in which is the only thing I asked for...but can't complain as DH and DS gave me a lovely watch. Ds gave to me and said "mummy's day" he then got on the bed and gave me a kiss and a hug and was off again.
Dh went to visit MIL and came back with some beautiful roses. (he never buys them as "they just die anyway") and LOL I dreamed about them last night.....
He has never been good with doing anything nice for others so it was a huge step for him....and very much appreciated.
