Megan had her 2nd swimming lesson today .one thing they ask is not to feed your baby an hour before so i give her a feed 1.5 hours before as I was sitting on the sit at the side of the pool she had a little spill and it had been over an hour since her feed now I know why they ask you not to feed your baby less than hour before their lesson.

Thanks

We are on our second term of swimming, it is really cool when they start going under the water. Spencer gets all excited on the countdown and takes a big breath and squeezes his eyes shut really tight while kicking his legs like a loony. He spends the rest of the time squealing and generally making a lot of noise.

how did they tell he was ready to go under..the instructor said they say "ready 1 2 3" or something like that then they go under.

Yeah we say "Spencer 1 2 3". We got him ready by practising pouring water over his face to get him use to it and then the first dip they barely go in at all. Just remember to close your own mouth when they pass to you cos they will copy, they soon learn what its all about.

We've been doing the Ready 1 2 3 thing with water on Anyssa's face since she was v. little and now she closes her eyes in anticipation. Can't wait to start swimming lessons - sounds like fun!

Congrats cuppatea!

Our swimming lessons say something a little different.. it's "Daniel, ready... gooooo" and under he goes.
