Our water at home suddenly has a really strong smell of chlorine. When I run O's bath the whole bathroom smells like we are at the pools!!

I dont know whether its normal or not, but it makes me kind of nervous that our tap water smells so strongly of it!

I am still boiling the water for O's bottles and we have a filter jug, so we arent drinking it directly...but still....doesnt seem right to me!!!

Do I contact Metrowater or the council or just live with it??

I think that can often happen when there has been heavy rain or something and so they have treated it a bit stronger... But I would ring the water people and see what they say...

Its normally the councils that look after the water systems so best to ring them and find out. If it smells that strong then that sounds a bit iffy to me.

Council is the best place.

Depending on where your water supply comes from (dam or bore) they usually dose the water with more chlorine if they have had a problem with algae etc. It's always fine to drink. They have to make sure of that.
