just thought of another question (i like being nosey)
what made you first suspect you were pregnant? did you get the usual symptoms, or was it a "feeling" you had ? |

I was just hoping. Missed my period, then took a test - it said negative.

| Nothing! I had a test left before we started the fert drugs so I thought 'what the heck!' and what do you know? was a BFP. I was 6 weeks pg at the time and had been taking them every few days with no luck so really convinced myself I wasn't. |

My period was late. We were using the rhythm method!!  and I am usually a 28-30 day cycle girl regularly, so was a suspicious. A lovely surprise, only 4 months before we were going to officially TTC  -------------  Mum to Hayley **30.6.08

Nah, i just got the morning sickness and i was late. At first i wasnt sure cause i had been late before and wasnt pregnant but after being sick all the time and dead tired AND not being able to have a drink (  ) from feeling so sick i figured i could be up the duff

My period was like, one or two days late...which usually wouldn't be a huge concern because it's not bang on regular every X days, can vary up to five days out. So I guess I must have had a feeling to test. We weren't trying but we weren't NOT trying. Had to do several tests to make myself believe my 'feeling' was correct! ------------- Mum to two gorgeous girls! |

We had been trying for a while so I thought everything was a pg symptom each month before AF.
BUT on the actual month, my very first symptom was that furry teeth feeling. I know. Random. But I'd brush my teeth then like 1-2 hours later they'd feel all gross again! Then nausia and missed period etc etc -------------

My boobs were killing me! (and I wasn't due for AF yet) I think I took a test before I was due for AF and it was - so did one the next day and it was very faint +

you know , i honestly cant remember if i had sore breasts....
I looked in my diary one day and thought "oh looksie,my period was due a month ago and hasnt showed up yet, hmmmm...." THEN i got all the symptoms, pah! bit late then ! i already knew! :-P |

Had started trying again, had sore boobs and tired mainly, then the morning sickness kicked in. AF was due dec 24th so did a test xmas day - BFP, yay cool xmas pressie!! -------------

I was soooo sick it never crossed my mind that I was preg... was completely and utterly tired/unable to eat anything/headachey from about 4-5 weeks it would've been, was convinced it was a bug or the flu, and only got suspicious when it didn't stop after a week or two. -------------

QUICK!!! i need photos of crying, snotty babies! PRONTO !!!! you know when you dont reeeeally want another baby yet, but then you start to wonder if you are, and then you get a littttlllee bit "ooh that would be quite nice actually.." and then you test and its a BFN , and your disappointed? thats what i dont want ...if that makes sense. BUT ! at least this will make for some entertaining reading when my mother reads this "are you SURE your not pregnant kelly ??" blah blah "marriage " blah blah

Well to be honest I think every month (that I don't use contraception) I suspect I am!!! And then get disappointed

Marriage is overrated! Lol. Me and Mike will get married eventually... neither of my parents are married, and they've been with their respective partners for 15 years+ needless to say my parents couldn't give a toss whether I was married or not. Mike's mum likes hinting every now and then though Though after the way his brother has been, I think they are just happy to have acess to at least 1 of their 3 grandkids! (BIL has 2 kids to different women, youngest is just older than Seb he's only 24, and with neither of them)
After being engaged for 3 years, it's a money thing for us Having a family is more important to us (esp with the tmie it's taking this time around...)-------------

For me it was my nipples. At first (6 or 7 DPO) they felt really, really cold. As i got closer to AF being due it felt more like i had ice cubes behind them or tigerblam on my bra. It was so intense.
I had never felt that before, ever. I did think I was either pregnant or had mastitis. I was still shocked when I saw the BFP. -------------

Haha Kelly I think she is talking about a wedding for you first For me with Andrew I had an idea - nothing else and we went and got tested at the nurses when DH studied. With Josh I knew and was in major denial about it so put testing off for a few days. It wasn't until I mentioned to DH that I was late and he went oh well thats ok. The next day I went out and got some tests and I knew it was + and what do you know it was a +. ------------- I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived! |

| Yes I was talking about a wedding for kelly first because unfortunately she is the only one of my three children I can be a mother of the bride to, cant be a mother of the bride to my sons girlfriend and her special needs sister well she isnt ever going to get married (developmental age 6) |

Susie I don't mean to be rude but you can't live your life and hopes through your daughter - "the only one you can be mother of the bride to". With that kind of pressure, you'll more likely put her off ever getting married. And if you really want to argue about it, don't you still live in the same house and can actually talk about it instead of dragging it out for the whole of NZ and a bit more? ------------- |
