What company are you with?
What do you get?
How much does it cost for you and 1 child with no access?

Im with tower, if i want no access (i hope thats the word) it will be $5.70 a month as my work pays the rest.

If i want Kylah on the plan with no access its $29 a month.

For some reason i thought it was free for babies to be added.

Kandise sometimes it is lot cheaper if you go with an excess, I think we have an excess of $300, it makes the premuims cheaper for the three of us. It doesn't help Ihave a pre existing condition, I am not sure what difference it made when we added Lachie.

For me and the 2 boys with Southern Crosses Wellbeing 2 plan with no excess is $800 odd a year.

We are with SOuthern Cross and for me, DH and Tom with hospital and specialist cover and no excess it is $105 per month. I think my premium is slightly cheaper as I am part of a group scheme...but not as subsidised as yours. It cost us an extra $19/month for Tom but I think a secnd child is free.

Life Insurance - basically you take out a sum and then pay a premium based on that. I only have 10k as I really would only need the funeral paid for. DH has it free and its 150k. Mum's is something ridiculous like 500k. I think it may depend on your earning power too? You can get a part of it which is terminal illness, so they pay your life insurance if you are diagnosed as terminally ill or unable to return to work.

We pay about $65 a month for me and Jack. I thought babies were free too if you joined them up before 30 days, but nup got stung when the first bill arrived. Should have asked lol. I'm with unimed and get it discounted (but only slightly) through work. Once again, we don't pay for DH as he gets all urgent stuff through work.

Wow, I had Wellbeing 2 through Southern Cross and it was $14.50 a fortnight (subsidised through work). That was just for me. I had a loooooot of exclusions though because of my history. I had to cancel it when we bought the house, but will probably get it again when things settle down a little bit financially (and I get my payrise I've been longing for!!!). DF is waaaay too expensive, because of his job and age, and he's a smoker.

ETA: That was with no excess too.

I am pretty sure we are on Unimed as it is heavily subsidised by DH's work. Usually if you enrol babies within the first couple of months they dont have to fill out a medical history but there is def a charge for them.
