i don't know whats wrong with me! i am SO happy to be pregnant and really enjoy pregnancy in general but i just can't wait for this baby to arrive!! of course i want him/her to wait till august, so that he/she will be best equipped for life outside of me. i just want august to be now ! i'm also really tense about something going wrong with baby, maybe thats why i want it to happen right away?
can anyone relate, or help me to settle down?

Can't help you out too much but i totally understand where you are coming from. It's all good and true to be pregnant but i just wish i had by baby now!!!!. I can't wait to get the bigger belly though even though my enjoyment of it will only last about 10 minutes....

Mel...it is normal to feel the way you do...but stop stressing and relax. If you are doing all the right things then your baby will be fine!! Just enjoy your time being pregnant..there is so much more to come for you. Wait till you are bigger and see hands/legs sticking out from the side of your tummy and feel the baby move (when there is hardly any room left in there)...I use to sit for hours looking at my tummy and laughing!!!

I asked my midwife after Zaara was born..."is she ok? is she normal? has she got every thing she should?...she laughed and said "yes".......

thanks guys! when i was expecting my daughter it was all new and unplanned so i guess i just kind of blindly sailed through. loving it, but unaware of what was happening to me. now i know so much more and i want it all to happen NOW! i don't really know what the anxiety is about though... maybe i'll just write it off to hormones and hope it passes

I kept thinking when I was preg with Maya "if I can get her out I can protect her", I felt so helpless, like there was no way I could keep her safe in the womb from stuff like listeria, cord probs etc. but that if I could get her out in one piece then I could keep her safe.

With this bubs I am more coping day by day. Like atm it's getting from now till Mon when I see my OBgyn, then Tues when I have a scan and m/w appt, then after that I will have something else to count down to. I take a lot less for granted since losing our last baby - soooo not good for me as I am very highly strung by nature!

thats the trouble eh? when they're tucked away inside you, you don't have any idea whats going on in there. at least when they're in your arms you can see they're safe and ok.

Ive been away and just catching up and see your pregnant again Emma, that is so cool, congrats.
I was the opposite, first time round I was so anxious and wanted to see the baby then and there wWouldnt it be great if you could have a wee window that you could see the baby through) this time round I hardly think of the baby, maybe thats because after the m/c and everything Im worried about what might go wrong Im not sure.

Hi Mel,
yeah I feel the same, but I was far more impatient earlier on, it just seemed like I was going to have to wait for ever, but now Im not feeling sick or particularly tired and I think im getting used to being pregnant, but I know that the next few months are going to be hard again though. I've also started to worry about when he is born, like, am i ready? will I be able to cope?

Emma I know exactly what you mean. But then every now and then i think maybe he is safer in my tummy, than out in the world.
