Weird q but I forgot to ask the doc today. I'm 4 weeks and I love warm baths to warm up at night. Can I still have them? Someone told me yes but not too hot.....What's TOO hot?

Sorry, all new to me as this is my first.

Yup sure can. Too hot is if you're feeling sweaty or clammy.
I always gauged it by, if I could get right in without having to get used to the heat.

I had a bath pretty much every night of pregnancy. I would have them so they were warm, but not hot. I would say too hot was when your skin turns pink.

Just run it as you normally would, then add a bit of extra cold water.

And congrats on your pregnancy! Exciting times

I had baths whenever I could get near one! Just make sure it's not too hot ie if you feel sweaty. You'll probably find your body is pretty good at letting you know when to move your butt out of that bath becuase it's too hot!

Yeah baths are fine, just not a REALLY hot ones. Im pretty sure that the hot bath thing only applies when the baby is a lot bigger? But I may be wrong.

I love baths right now, they are my fav thing! I did avoid them at the beginning cause i wasn't sure what to do either (and it was summer!). i think its something like 37 degs?? Or is that too hot? I just run one so that I can get straight into it without my bodyhaving to adjust to the heat. If you feel yourself getting hot you should probably get out. Google it!!

Danaj, did you use the weddings website last year??

I'm loving my weekly bath at the moment - thinking I'm gonna upgrade to 2-3 per week as winter sets in and bump grows bigger!

Just make sure they're not so hot that you start sweating or getting a headrush.

I put a few drops of bio oil into my baths too and its very relaxing - especially before bed, helps me sleep!

Meh, one thing I refuse to give up is my hot baths. I do have them slightly less hot than usual (I've been known to pass out from having the bath too hot ) but still pretty hot, it's the only relaxation I get.

I think 37degrees is about right.

The "bigger" issue I think with baths is attempting to get out of them again when you hit around 8-9months!!

I was inspired to have a bath after posting in this thread! My cat even came in and put his 2 front paws up on the side and looked in to see what I was doing! (little pervert! lol!)

Baby D woke up and had a wee kick around and poked my tummy a few times - it was in the bath that I first saw my tummy 'twitch' from Baby D a couple of weeks ago!

Nice and relaxed and ready for bed now!

Hehe, Emma my cats do that too, both of them. I will be relaxing away with my eyes closed and then I open my eyes and my 2 littles munchkins are peering over the edge. I am convinced they are looking for fish

Our shower is broke so I am having baths everyday. I use Spencers bath thermometer to check that it isn't too hot. Mine tend to be around the 38.5 degree mark anything less than that just feels cold.

38.5 degrees sounds about right to me as your body is naturally warmer when pregnant. I think my temps are usually around 37.5 degrees while pregnant.

37 degrees is starting to feel kind of cold, especially at this time of the year.

If you go pink, it's probably a bit too warm.
