I have been looking at sippy cups but I can't seem to make up my mind, and the valves etc are confusing...

Which ones do you recommend? Any features that make one better than another?

Jack loves his Nuby (tommee tippee??) which has a soft spout. He couldn't get the hang of the watties ones with the valves (maybe because he was bf?) so I have taken the valves out for him to use them.

Lauren loves the Watties one and I like it because its a nice soft flexi type rubber on the spout. I took the valve completely out till she got the hang of how it actually worked. Now I have the valve back in and she sucks so hard and sculls it all by herself! Took about 3 weeks for her to get the hang of how to suck from it.

We also have a Tommee Tippee, but she just can't manage to get anything out of it yet. Will keep trying her on it though!

We just got those good old $2 clear ones with the plastic lids, they flow well and once they got used to th water they were fine with them. I lose them all time so its great they are so cheap.

We have the tommee tippee my first cup ones that have no valve. I find them really good as she can get the water out easily but they do leak if they are tipped up so you have to be there (or be prepared to clean up!). They're a good starter cup anyway to get them used to the idea of drinking out of one.

We used one of those tommee tippee ones like the old ones we had as kids, they don't have a valve or anything, very simple. Now he likes one with a straw

We ended up with the plain old Tommy Tippy Sippy cup. We tried all the valved versions but Sam was never interested in any of them.   Most seemed to hard to get anything out of.

Thanks guys. I'd better go and get one - in the meantime she has gotten pretty good at drinking from a glass!

We recently got E a Tommy Tippee Nuby one, but she seems to struggle to get much water from it. Quite likes the Fisher price ones, but they do leak abit.
