I have noticed recently a lot of bad language in the posts. so bad that it reads like this

&*(*^*&^T&*&^(*)*)&( (*&()( _+*&^%^%* ^%*^&$

for nealy whole sentences...

Is there really a need for it!?

DH says: ab-so-$*@$*${@@*-lute-ly!!!!

It doesn't really bother me, sometimes it gets across feelings easier, given that everything on here is typed.

I can't say I have noticed it. But that is probably just me.

The odd word I think is fine to have an *&^%$ in it but full on sentences probably not.

*quickly scans previous posts to see whether I'm one of the offenders*

I agree with Deb. Often if I see a post full of profanities I don't bother. Definitely there's a place and time for using swear words but when the symbols outnumber the actual words you maybe should invest in a thesaurus.

I haven't noticed any full sentence ones... just the odd letter in a word... like sh*t.

Date Posted: 23 May 2008 at 7:45pm
Yup I agree Deb, I find it rather offensive but then I'm just a goody good who will only use the odd 'S' word here and there when I'm really peeved.

swearing in a post and having a post bursting full of swear words are two different things though. I don't mind the odd swear word but I think if there's nothing to say other than swear words why say anything

I don't take offense to the swearing, though I do wonder sometimes if it's all necessary. It does make some posts hard to read as I have to try to decipher them!

See on here it doesn't worry me one bit, although I've only really seen it to emphasise a point rather than directed at anybody- but IRL I find it really offensive.

And I'm the opposite lol, I would never swear online (unless it's to take the mickey out of Pepsi ) but IRL I am kinda immune to it coz I live with Willie the truck driver.

C'est moi!

I'm a swearer from way back. I'm trying (unsuccessfully) to stop bad language in real life, so I suppose I should do it here too

Getting there! I'm so exhausted today but I'm being tested for coeliacs and thinking back, I've had a lot more bread stuff than usual today, so I'm sorta hoping that's what it is! Girls are great! So cute and love playing together *awwww*

Can't say I've noticed much swearing either but then I am known to have a bit of a potty-mouth so hope it wasn't me (though I do tend to type less of the bad words then I actually say! )
