Didn't load for me either. Then again I was just doing it out of curiosity the endoscopy and biopsy I had 4 years ago were pretty conclusive that I had damage to my gut because of gluten. I've been gluten free ever since. -------------

I got 12- I don't really see how. I answered 'none of the above' to every single question except one and it says I am high risk? pfft just because I have a stress rash by my knees and elbows??? ------------- Jen, Charlotte 7 & Kate 3

There was an interesting thing on the news about Allergies and all that the other day.....
Marks sister is positive for Celiac disease...We thought Blake was too but came back negative...... I know there are certain types of bread and also the Heavy Vogels bread that really play havoc with me so I get the High fibre White bread for all of us now from Bakers Delight.....Seems to be tolerated by Blake as well who has the most sensitive stomach at the best of times. -------------

I in no way mean to scare you but rather to ensure you're fully informed. I am wondering which test did Blake have? The antibodies test is completely unreliable - it is common to have a false negative or a false postive (I got a negative in the antibody test) and Blake is too young for any damage to show in an endoscopy - pediatrics specialists generally won't do and endoscopy & biopsy until a child is 4 yo unless the symptoms are severe because basically the only conclusive way of diagnosing coeliacs is to find out if you already have damage to your gut lining caused by gluten and until 4 yo most children haven't ingested enough gluten for it to make any difference yet. Infact it's my understanding that neither the antibody test nor the biopsy work unless there's enough gluten in the system to have done damage. So if you suspect your child is gluten intolerant and want a diagnosis the only way to get one is by continuing to 'poison' them with gluten until they're old enough for the damage to show. The gene test is new and rarely done unless you specifically ask for it. It doesn't diagnose coeliacs but it does tell you if your child carries the gene. I'd only get this done if there's a high chance that you're child has coeliacs and you don't want to wait unti they're 4 to find out because they take about 3 vials of blood and it's pretty awful plus it's not an indication of whether they have or will develop coealics. We had the gene test done on Michaela hoping for a negative but unfortunately she has the gene and now it's just a matter of waiting until she's older to see if the gluten she eats now is damaging her body. Lastly for those that carry the gene, coeliacs disease can be triggered at any age. My younger sister who tested negative 4 years ago has just tested positive (she's 28). It can be triggered by illness and stress. -------------
