Hmmmm... you can try all you want but I am entirely skeptical. I think if you are doing to get them, then you'll get them!
Sorry... I'm a pain in the butt. I have no idea about creams!

I used the Body Shop body butters, they smell nice and make your skin feel nice, but completely useless against stretchmarks.
Palmers and Bio-Oil advertise that they help prevent stretchmarks, but I have not heard rave reviews about their effectiveness.

I have heard that stretch marks are more to do with your muscle beneth the skin and that cream wont do anything. Ive also heard that its hereditary, having said that I do moisturise just in case thats wrong. :)

Yea i know it is hereditary but i thought maybe a cream would help slow them down....

Mummy badges, wear them with pride! I hated mine at first but I've grown to love them - they're marks which show the amazing transformation my body undertook when I carried my boy.

i used a cream (cant remember which one) then switched to a cheaper brand and i did end up getting them at about 36 weeks. they didnt get much worse in the second pregnancy.... and i too wear them with pride, they are my special mummy marks my oldest daughter loves them too!
its just unfortunate that other's do make people feel self conscious about them, with negative attitudes and nasty remarks... man my sister was really bad... she ended up getting them in her second pregnancy though!!!

Im pretty sure creams wont make much difference as it is all down to skin elasticity and hereditary plays a part too.i used palmers coca butter but my skin reacted so switched to bio oil and didnt do anything.my mum and my sister have stretch marks to.

I already have stretch marks from when I was fat and then lost a bunch of weight LOL So I'm honestly not too worried ! I definitely reckon the best way to look at it is to see them as a "mummy badge"

I have been using wheatgerm oil and vitamin e creme. I use the creme every day but only rub the wheatgerm oil on every second day. I also have a friend who swears by Bio Oil.
I have a scar about 10cm long from having my appendix out years ago, and i thought i would defintly get strech marks around that area but so far i have been lucky and i haven't got any - touch wood.

I got my cocoa butter from Farmers I think, can't remember the brand. I used it religiously every day! I had no stretch marks until after Ella was born, then I noticed them! They have just about faded now though, I think I used cocoa butter after she was born for a little while too.

I did nothing special either time, just used a general moisteriser a couple of times a week... I don't have any stretch marks on my tummy, but I do on my thighs! Kiya wanted special lines like Mummy when she was little and having a bath with me!
