Ok, so I was just thinking about the facebook ohbaby group thing because some people are worried that people will link their full real names to this site. Currently it is a global group where anyone can see the details of the group and all content because that was the default.
The options available are: This group is open. Anyone can join and invite others to join. Anyone can see the group information and content. This group is closed. Administrative approval is required for new members to join. Anyone can see the group description, but only members can see the other content. This group is secret. The group will not appear in search results or in the profiles of its members. Membership is by invitation only, and only members can see the group information and content. There isn't much content for people in the group to see right now anyway, but a restriction would stop people seeing the group members and any photos or posts we put up. What would you all prefer? Change to closed or leave as it is? |

I vote for closed. And congrats on the girl ------------- I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived! |

Haha thanks, I guess that means I can reuse all of Alyssa's clothes. I would love to have done some boy clothes shopping though!

At least she wasn't shy like my wee girl was... K had her hand over her girly bits at both the 20 and 30 week scan so I request another one at 35 weeks and THAT time we had the full view LOL -------------

| Well it's partly since people are reluctant to join the group because of nosey non-ohbaby'ers who look at all the groups your in, and non ohbaby'ers who join facebook and just randomly add everyone from the group...and the odd fear of stalking and murder? hehe |

No, not in your own profile if you have the settings on friends only...but I was talking about the photos that some of us have posted in the ohbaby group page. Now that the group is closed, it means only people in the group can see the photos and wall messages etc. |

I was just doing some testing with the new "closed" group settings and got someone from my work who is not in ohbaby to see what they can see of the group now. When he clicked on 'ohbaby' from my profile, it definitely doesn't show all the wall posts or photos and stuff, but it still shows the members list. Of course if you don't have your profile locked down it means people can access your personal profile from there just as they could if they searched under your name so just be aware of that.
I think if we went as far as making it "secret" then new members from here wouldn't be able to find the group and can only be part of it when invited, so that seems a bit excessive to me. Just wanted to let you all know anyway in case it's a problem. |

| Ok, I have had enough now as this Farida Khilawala person we have been talking about has started to stalk the other non-ohbaby friends in my facebook profile asking them all to add her as well as keeps spamming the group wall with her website info. I have deleted her from the ohbaby group now and sent you all a message about it. Up to you if you want to keep her as a friend (even though we know she's not actually from here) but it's just plain annoying now. |
