Since about 7.30 ive been having cramps and lower back pain, they arnt what id call very regular but they were coming roughly every 10 mins and lasting for about 20-30 seconds, then leaving a dull ache.
I had a bath and didnt have any in there, but now that Im out the crampy feeling is still there and the lower back ache.

I also feel asthough i want to have a BM....but nothing is there.

The cramps feel like a strong period pain, kind of like my m/c cramps I guess.
Im not sure yet if its early labour or BH contractions, but this is the first time Ive felt SO crampy and suff...

do the cramps have a definate peak to each one?
perhaps you should take note of when and how long they are so it's easier to keep track

i'm sooooo excited for you!   it sounds promising....but as we all know, these things can quite often lead to nothing

maybe you should give your mw a call and give her a heads up

Yeah they have a definite peak to them, Ive had wee cramps before but they never felt like this.
I have started timing them and they are ranging from 30-40 seconds and coming like every 10mins or so....

My midwife said to call her when they are a few kins apart etc I think i'll call her when im sure its labour as there isnt anything she can do right now anyways, we discussed today what Im to do when Im in labour.

Ummm not really getting anymore intense at the moment...just staying the same, even seem to have slowed down...

For the past few weeks every night Ive had wicked cervix pain, but tonight I have had basicly none, and caden isnt AS wiggly as he usually is, so Im not sure if that means anything.

Gah its so confusing lol

Im having a slight cramp now....its not intense but its there and I can feel it in my back aswell.

Lol, you should try to sleep - even an hour or so nap will make a huge difference. Also take a pen and paper to bed so that you can write down times of the contractions if you get too anxious - it gave me something to do and eventually ended up putting me to sleep!

Morning Everyone,

Well not much had happened at all, I didnt get wokrn up by painful cramps or anything, although I do still feel crampy down low its not contraction like.

Am going to go for a big walk today to see if they start up again.

I guess this could just be my body getting ready for the real thing soon?

Hey Sheza I've been getting these cramps for the last week. In the last couple of days they've been 10 minutes apart lasting between 2 and 6 minutes but not progressing any further. And then when I go to bed at night everything settles down. It's so frustrating.

Sounds like your definately not too far off! Get out walking, that just may be what your body needs to get it kicked started again, just take it fairly slowly though!

Mine started with a back ache too and walking definately brought my labour on!

Hi Sheza, that sounds like what happened to me 2 days before Daniel was here! Good luck. I hope it starts up again. I had an evening of exactly what you had, then a day of absoluetely nothing only to be woken up in the wee hours of the morn in labour. Rest up when you can though, if it is going to happen for you soon you don't wanna be tired

My waters 'trickled' so it wasn't a huge balloon gush like you see on TV... it was awful but at least it helped things progress (verrrrrrry slowly tho) was 48 hours from waters breaking to Keziah being delivered via emergency c-section

My waters didn't break until later too, but once they did it was all on. It's a really odd feeling, like there's a balloon inside you and suddenly it pops.

Great that you're going out today, good to try and keep normality while you wait for things to happen.

Will be thinking of you and checking in regularly - good luck.

oooh exciting sheza!!! they sound how mine were in the early stages (but mine lasted off and on for a few days!! lol) and my waters didnt break on their own- i got them ruptured for me when i arrived at the hospital and was 7 cm dilated.
during my contractions i had the constant need to do BM...

goodluck hopefully you'll be holding bubs soon

That's what happened to me too, I'm sure I heard them as well as felt them when they popped. I only got a small splash of waters, the rest came out behind Michaela and soaked everything!

Oooh Sheza, exciting! Sounds exactly like how my labour went with Maya - cramps and back pain every 10 mins or so and after 24 hours of that things intensified and she was born the next day. I had a show after the contractions started but no waters breaking, I had them artificially ruptured in hospital later on.

Best of luck over the next few hours, hope the walk does the trick - but you do realise you're not allowed to have this boy yet, coz once you do it means it is waaaay too close to when my wee minx is due! No June babies!

Im still in one piece lol!

When I woke up this morning things had stopped, but as soon as i was out and about things started up again.

So Ive had cramps on and off all day and constant ache in my lower back and the front of my bump.
Then while I was in foodtown with nana I had a reallll bad one, it hurt and made me have to hunch over, then got another one about 10-20mins later just as bad and had to crouch down, and had another one about an hour later while driving.

Now Im feeling achy and crampy still, had a shower and it made me feel heaps better but as soon as I get out the cramps start up again.

Also had some yucky stuff when i wiped, wasnt much but it was like thickish...gooey stuff, but just a little bit.

Ive had nasty syadic nerve pain tonight had me in tears I didnt know what to do, I couldnt sit on the couch or floor or anything. Ended up on my hand and knees with my bum in the air, must have worked cos it shifted him off the nerve and now Im ok, but still no more cramps.

Definitely sounds like what I had (had to do the hands and knees thing too) for the 2 1/2 weeks before I had Jack. Couldn't even sit on a chair for that whole time. But seeing as Caden is due soon, I would say yay it'll be happening before you know it!

Good luck! Sounds like an irritable uterus,

I had this for about 4 days before I had Charlotte, I was almost 2 weeks overdue, though! I was booked in for an induction on my 2 weeks day, but I was sooo tired from the up and down cramps etc she induced me a day early - got a valentines baby that waya s well.

It does suck, I had wicked bad ones in the supermarket, as well. the checkout lady told me I was stupid for being there if I was in labour. Cow.

Hope it comes to something soon for you!

Come on Caden! Please be nice to mummy ... head towards the light at the end of the tunnel.

Isn't there a thread somewhere on here for natural labour inducing tips (spicy food, long walks, acupressure etc).

Maybe that will encourage your little man to make an appearance into the world to meet his little playmates.

All the best & we hope something happens soon for you.

Sheena, mine weren't regular for two weeks and some were painful and others were just there. I feel sorry for anyone going thru this but at the same time am kind of pleased to know i'm not the only one to go thru it....

Good luck babe and try rest up a bit if you can, you will need ALL your energy for the ACTUAL labour.

Come on Caden, mummy daddy and everyone else wanna meet you!
