| For those of you who have had them, or anyone else who knows, you can't have AF when you are going in for a colposcopy can you?? Is Provera the only way to stop AF in that case? Have been called today and have to go in for an urgent colposcopy on Friday (woohoo for 2 days notice.) but to do that, ahve to make sure AF has stopped by then...is that enough time for provera to work?? |

Did the clinic advise anyhting? I would think that if you asked them that question they would be able to help. I was booked for one and then got AF, they changed the booking for me... ------------- Mum to two beautiful kids

| I didn't ask, no - I was in a little bit of shock because I wasn't expecting it, plus I had a great deal of trouble understanding the lady I was speaking to...I just wondered if anyone here new rather than trying to ring them again. |

My doc ALWAYS asks me when I last bled. He won't go near me if there is even the slightest hint of blood. So no, you can't have AF.
I have no idea about provera though. |

| Ok, I just rang and they said it should be fine as long as it's quite light (which hopefully it should be by then), they can work around that. I am so not looking forward to this!!! |

| I was just about to say, they prefer that you are not bleeding, but if urgent will do it if you have light bleeding (I *wish* that this was NOT an area in which I am an expert!) |
