I have a friends sons Baptisim on Sunday.

Any suggestions as to what? I'd obviously like to get something sentimental.

If your child had a baptisim/christening what kind of gifts were they given?

TIA

Michaela was given a silver covered photo album and a silver money box. Some bunnykins cutlery. A lama wool blanket. A bible.

There's lots of adorable keepsake type stuff in farmers.

The things I appreciated the most when my baby was dedicated was good Christian kid's books. There's a lot of choice too.

I bought Maya a children's bible, my parents bought her Royal Doulton Bunnikins stuff (family tradition) and other people bought her little ornaments and keepsakes.
Mum and Dad bought the gremlins a gorgeous china cross each with a child kneeling to pray on it. They were hanging above their cots but I suspect they have both been pulled down and are now behind the cots

Oh and they all got rosary beads which is a Catholic tradition.

Cool, thanks for the ideas.

I had thought of the moneybox, frame kinda things from Farmers, but don't want him to get double ups and those things are pretty common I guess.

I like the idea of a blanket so may go and check out craftworld this afternoon.

Thanks again.

I bought Ana's Lily a tiny Baby Rosary, I bought my BFF daughter a gold crucifix, would buy a Kids Bible or Bible story book, maybe, as to me, a Baptism or Christening is about the whole God Aspect, not random gifts, I think its nice to give a religous gift, maybe the only one they get!

Depending on where you live, you might want to check out some of the catholic shops in Akld, as they have lots of lovely gift ideas for baptisms.
