I think its just Ella and James walking so far with the other James being the only one year old. I think Kate turns one next?

Kalyx is walking now too. Although the MenzB Jab on Tuesday (a month late, due to illness) knocked him back a bit. He spent 2days sitting around crying coz his legs were too sore to walk. Poor thing!

Wow, the toddler section I thought something was up when I couldn't find our thread over the 'other side'!!
Sounds like everyone is getting on fantastic, isn't this age just great?! 
We're doing well, not much new to report really... Lucas still hasn't taken the first big step in life but thats just fine with me! He's enough of a hurricane as it is at the moment hehe. His new trick is to High 5 tho... so cute! I guess he does have another trick, well I wouldn't call it a trick  .... he climbs!!
He pushed a packet of nappies over to our windowsill (they are low) & started climbing up onto the sill!! OMG I grabbed him soooo fast LOL!! I was completely shocked
But the other evening I put some towels away, came back and this is what I found..... 
And this is Minardi's tunnel we dug out during our move last weekend....

Im off to do a photobucket upload of photos and will be back with some pics. How is everyone today? James has another flu, damn daycare, since Haleigh started daycare she's been bringing home bug after bug. Poor James has been hit with them all including throat and ear infection
Luckily its nearly over with, the nose has started running clear rather than green which is great. We're going to look for a present for James's bday this week. What is everyone else getting their wee ones? I can't think of what to get him. We are jsut doing a small maccas party since its the only place here suitable for the older kids and warm enough since its so cold now. We looked at kidzdigz but they were wanting near $500 for a min party of 3hrs HELL NO!!!! Who would spend that on a flippin bday party? thats just rediculous, no matter how great the place is.------------- http://lilypie.com">

We got Daniel a swing set and some books.
Most people got him toys/books. He got some fab toys. We actually need a bigger bookshelf now his one is totally full hehe. My mum also got him a slide which is yet to arrive. |

We got a swing/slide set for the boys bout a month or so ago. I said to DP it was for Kaly's Birthday hehe & since have got him a wooden pull-along train with blocks, sounds etc & a trike/ride-on. Brae has a bike already & the wheel came off his old trike/ride-on so thought i'd better get another for Kal.
Im not having a party as such as i have spent over $300 on presents already. I'll just blow up a room full of balloons & let him have a "ball" & do a nice dinner inviting Grandparents etc. Thats about all we did for Brae 1st aswell. Crappy weather here today, good thing there was PC this morning so we could burn off our excess energy, get all dirty & see how well our washing machine works. We got Ella a table and chair set- thought we go practical as I am sure she will heaps of toys from other people. My parents got her an old fashioned rocking horse. The little monkey ran away from me at the supermarket today. I thought I could pop in quickly and since I was just getting a couple of things I didn't bother about putting her in the trolley- well, the little miss decided that she didn't want to be carried around and then everytime i put her down she ran away in the opposite direction. and then while I was at the check out 'trying' to pay she decides to run off into the middle of the mall. We have just got Caprece clothes, a gloworm and blow up pool with balls in it and a ride on trike thing. Jack chose a wee doll for her as well. We are hiring out our playcentre for the day for $25 which I think is pretty reasonable. |

I havnt got Astin anything yet but im eyeing up a "little people village" and i think thatll be it seen as family and friends will give lots (as they do for Bay). We are having a family BBQ on the sunday
Tehehe about Ella running off - i can just amagine this tiny little girl waddling her little bum off! Astin tries to run but his top half of his body tends to goa hec of alot faster than his legs which leads to face meeting floor!

Daniel is having a good day al;ready. He got to have a sleep in with mummy and daddy. He woke at 6:30. I gave him a small feed of 100ml and bought him into bed with us and he went to sleep again til 8am - bliss! lol
And his slide arrived at 7am so that's super timing! |

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DANIEL Hope you had a fun day (sounds like you had a good start already). She is definitely keeping us on our toes at the moment. When she ran off while I was at the check out, I had to chase after her and left my credit card at the counter...luckily some nice guy behind me picked it up for me and commented 'it's good to know that your child is more important than your credit card'. And I can't let her out of her buggy at shops now and she is basically starts pulling everything off the shelves. Aw thanks for the birthday wishes guys I keep forgetting we've moved over here!
We had a lovely day- just a quiet BBQ. It was a gorgeous hot sunny day so the kids spent the whole time playing in the backyard- Kate loves it out there. She had her first taste of cake and thought it was the best thing ever- she was on such a sugar high for the rest of the day! We got her the fisher price laugh and learn home (her and Charlotte both play with it together which is nice) and her first pair of proper shoes, plus some little bits like books and toy cars etc. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DANIEL! ------------- Jen, Charlotte 7 & Kate 3

Awesome trike!!! We are going to get Daniel a cool trike for Xmas then he will enjoy it more I think being older to have better motor skills and it will be sunny. We had Daniels party the weekend before his bday, no point having a bday mid week when half the ppl can't come! We gave our presents to Daniel yesterday though. |

We have had a good day, DH is on afternoons so we had the morning together, he got far too many presents and was totally over stimulated and has just gone down for his first sleep of the day. HAPPY BIRTHDAY SPENCER!
Very cool trike! We got a kettler for Kate but it doesn't have those side bits so shes still a wee while off riding it. Its soooo annoying- the sun rises here at about 4.30am so by 5am it is bright and so Kate has started waking up then  Its killing me! Shes done it the past 3 mornings and I am exhausted. Then she is so tired I need to put her back down for a nap by about 8am but I am in the middle of getting Charlotte ready for school then so she spends the entire time grizzling until I can get her down by about 9am (at which point she is so overtired!). We have a blackout blind up but enough light still comes around the edges. I'm loving this sunny weather but hating the early starts- I hope she learns to sleep through it soon! ------------- Jen, Charlotte 7 & Kate 3

I don't get on here for a week or two, and we've MOVED!!!!! Wow - Toddlers - I'm still in denial. Kate June 8th Daniel June 10th Spencer June 11th Caprece June 16th Ella June 20th Tristen June 24th Jakob June 26th James June 28th Lucas June 30th Kalyx July 3rd Astin July 4th Not too much exciting to report -- but I can say being a "working mum" seems far busier than just being one or the other!! Its crazy. I'm doing 4 days in total now, but only a month left in one contract so it may drop down soon. We're having Jakes b'day party on the 28th, will probably do pressies from us on his actual b'day tho (26th). I'm looking forward to it. Ordered a big (and very cute) nemo cake.
I just noticed 2 more teeth last night -must have come thru a week or two ago as they're quite far thru - probably when he was sick and off his food (hence I didn't put it down to his teeth). Still no walking here -- since starting daycare hes really lost interest I think. He can stand alone, but doesn't do it often --- and has been doing that for 2 months and walking around furniture etc for over 4 months now. I've given up waiting for it to happen now!! (and definitely not encouraging it!). I have a climber too --- it can be quite scary - he can get up onto the couch by himself now then trys to climb up onto the arms, so I really have to watch him. Well I started work last night, the first time I've worked in about 3.5 years It was lovely being able to actually have a conversation with adults without having to keep checking on the kids. Didn't get home til one tho so am a bit tired.

Not sure how many days yet, its working in a bar so just depends on everyone else really. I had to get up to Caprece as well last nite so did not get much sleep at all.
Um Caprece had 5 but then shes just getting number 6 now. We are having Capreces party tomorrow so hopefully it all goes well. The cake has all fallen to pieces so i'm kind of stressing. |

Oh no about the cake. We are doing a trial run with the cake this weekend . DH is going to make a fairy cake for her, so he is going to play around with the recipe and make sure he can do the icing and cut the cake alright. He thinks it will be easy....but I am not so sure. Hope you (and Caprece) have fun at the party and try not to stress about the cake- if all else fails you could always get something from the supermarket (Caprece will still think it is Yum ------------- Mum to Ella (5) and Tom (2) |

Yay for the job Rach, boo about the cake, hope it works out.
Spencer can't have cake not unless I attempt to cook a diary/soy/egg free one and god knows what that would taste like, cos a) it doesn't sound very nice to start with and b) I can't cook to save my life.
Oh well, I will stick a candle in a rice cake for him he won't know the difference
Spencer still has 5 teeth, the fifth one came through at about 8 months and we haven't had anything since, I keep thinking number 6 is gonna turn up cos he gets mega red cheeks and dribbling but nope nothing. I don't mind he likes biting me given the chance so the less teeth the better. He is making some progres with his movements and is now doing a strange one kneed crawl, it looks like his left leg is broke and he is dragging it along. He is getting up onto hands and knees quite a lot as well know but doesn't know what to do once there so just collapses again. A couple of times he's ended up on hands and feet and that has really confused him. Hopefully this is the start of him catching up. -------------

Daniel has 6 teeth. He's had a very sore mouth for the last couple of days so I suspect that there are another couple moving around in there.
Thats good Spencer is moving around a bit. Daniel actually decided he would give "proper" crawling a go last night rather than commando. He knows perfectly well how to do it but prefers commando. I don't think it will take Spencer long how to figure it out

Commando is probably faster for Daniel hehe!! Lucas has 8 teeth now, 4 at the bottom, 3 at the top & 1 big one at the top/back a Molar maybe? I think he has more on their way, he has very red cheeks & a sore bumbum
He's walking more & more now, he's still pretty unstable but he's giving it a go. I'm still very happy for him to take it easy tho!! Jake has 8 teeth now (4 top 4 bottom). I only just noticed the last two, they probably came thru a week or two ago (he was sick so thought that was why he was off his food a bit). Before those two it had been months of none coming through.
Sorry to hear about those still up in the night. I seriously couldn't do that now -- hope it improves for you very soon!
I wouldn't risk making a cake - would stress me out too much and I'm not good in the kitchen - so I went with the easy (but not cheap!) option of buying one. Daniels cake looks so cute!!!! Yay for Spencer trying to move! And work going well Rach. ------------- DS (5yrs) and DD (3yrs) |

Well I didn't get to the mall on Saturday to spend my vouchers Kinda glad tho because more have arrived in the mail, I was very spoilt!
I went out (for a boogie in town) with a girlfriend of mine instead, last minute decision made at 1030pm LOL!
Boy was it a good night, we got home at 4.30am!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG!   Was up with Lucas at 7 as Mike had to work yesterday

Thanks everyone we had a great day, went to the museum and had a play. We then went to my parents and buried her placenta.
One boob is really sore I'm not sure if I've cracked a nip or Capreces teeth have been digging in, boy it hurts

Good to hear that Caprece had a good day Yeah every now and then Ella teeth dig her teeth into me while feeding as well. It doesn't usually feel so bad while she is feeding it hurts more when she latches for the next couple of days. Well both Ella & I have colds. Last night she was awake from 2.30- 4 and won't settle despite having a feed and pamol...hopefully she sleeps better tonight as I am soooooo tired. Think I might call in sick tomorrow for work and drop Ella off at her educarers and have a relaxing day on the sofa. Ella is now obsessed with hair- doesn't matter whose hair it is, she will go up and touch it. She has also just discovered my hairbrush and once I showed her how to use it has started brushing my hair (sometimes she gets it right, other times she bangs it against my head ------------- Mum to Ella (5) and Tom (2) |

Owie about the boob Rach, hope its feeling better soon.
Hope you get over your colds soon, its so exhausting when you have to get up in the night now. Spencer woke me up at 1.30 last night cos he had done a poo first time that has ever happened and I really hope it was a one off.
We saw the allergy doc yesterday and he got skin prick tested, he came up positive for diary, eggs and peanuts but everything else was negative. Reactions were quite small so doc said that he should outgrow them quickly. Plan is to obviously exclude those foods and then get him tested again at 2. He was negative to soy so am gonna get him some soy yoghurt to try and he can start having all the other millions of things that have soy in them. -------------

thanks for the birthday wishes. Ella had a fun (but tiring day). She decided to have a nice early start at 6 this morning and we went to the Zoo late morning and then to my parents place for dinner in the evening. We had a really nice surprise through- my bf (and Ellas godmother) who lives in Germany turned up on our doorstep in the morning (DH knew she was coming). It was huge surprise as the last time I saw her was in Oct and I didn't think she was coming to NZ again until early next year She loved the rocking horse that my parents gave her and had heaps of fun playing with it. ------------- Mum to Ella (5) and Tom (2) |

OMG Kal has another 2 molars through, so has11 teeth in total. He seems to go through phases & get them all at once. Glad it hasnt bothered him much!

Happy birthday Ella & Laura well we had tristens party today and it was great fun!! tristen partied until 4pm (after being up since 7:30am) then crashed out for an hour and is still going again lol not to mention that the adults and kids all got into a paper war with the wrapping paper and pass the parcel paper and then somehow the foam blocks got involved lol anyways thought i would share a few pics

WE went to a 5yr old party yesterday, the boys had heaps of fun!! Kal thought the bouncyy castle was the best & was bouncing round like a pro with the bigger kids his brother on the other hand was the 1 who ended up with a blood nose & crying on several occasions. At 3.5 Brae is still a sooky mummies boy.

Thanks for the birthday wishes! Laura had a lovely day. We did plan on going to the zoo, but as the weather was a bit dicey, we stayed home instead and had close family and friends over.
