We (well I) have found the tennents for our house and then I am going to talk to a property manager tomorrow about them just doing the rest. ------------- I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived! |

we are with harcourts (as tenants). they have been fabulous - we ring them about any damage - and they fix it (oh, BTW make sure you have glass insurance with no excess). they do house inspections every three months (unlike LJ HOoker, who we NEVER saw). They consult the landlord frequently - like when we asked if we could have a cat (we could). They were really great to us as tenants and I would imagine as landlords too.
LJ Hooker on the other hand - gave us false information (due to them being dumb, not vindictive). Tried to sell the hosue under us wihtout realising we were on a fixed term. Put pressure on us as well in terms of this. When we looked at the place we had seeveral complaints - especially about the cleanliness of the house. The previous tenants had left weetbix in the cupboards! When we moved in, they hadn't cleaned up or done anything. we complained and they shrugged and said "well, you've cleaned it now" I always believe that the best property managers are those who are good to both tenants and landlords - afterall if they have a bad rep as landlords, then good tenants will steer clear. |

See if there is a Quinovic or Crockers Property Management down there. They are franchised so there may be.

Hey Kaz We are renting through Gillies Group, they're really good. They come and do regular inspections. They're very pedantic about ensuring the gardens and lawns are well maintained, there's no cobwebs or mildew inside etc so from the point of the house owner it's brilliant. -------------
