...that is famous in NZ???

My second cousin is quite well known in New Zealand as he has a tattoo of an alien on his head.

I know Jacob Oram, as he was 2 years above me at school and one of the girls on my bus went out with him (before he was a famous cricket player).

My cousin brought Cristian Cullen to a family thing when they were going out (before he was a famous rugby player).

So who do know???

I worked with Adine Wilson, back when she was Adine Harper. She did work experience at the law firm where I was in Hawera. I still remember answering the phone to Jeff *wistful sigh*. Daneka Wipiiti (Silver Ferns, not really famous) went to my school. A couple of the younger Silver Ferns did actually. Toni Street from One News did as well. Scott Ireland (All Black occasionally) went out with my sister. Conrad Smith was the resident "hunk" - his sister was in the same year as me at college and everyone wanted to go out with him!!!

I don't know him now, but Justin Marshall was in my class at school. Wasn't anything special back then either lol!

I went to school with Carlos Spencer. He was a year younger than us, but was in our group of mates.

One of my flatmates went out with Christian Cullen when we were at Uni. So he was at our place heaps.

My cousins boyfriend is Hamish, who is the drummer from The Feelers (incidentally he wrote a gorgeous song about Joshua the last time we were there and he's gonna record it for us next time he's in the studio).

And thats probably enough or I'll get called a name dropper

I don't really know anyone famous.  I've worked with Doc Mayhew (former all blacks and current warriors doctor).  He worked for the same company as me after leaving the ABs.

My DH used to play spacies every lunchtime with Tana Umaga when DH worked for KFC and Umaga worked for the National Bank.

Does spending an hour on speaker phone the other day with a certain home grown globe trotting celeb (and his wife) who does "amazing racing" around the world count? hmmmmm....

Ok.....was taught PE by Sandra Edge, Thomas Edge was our school gardner, John Kirwin married another PE teacher whose maiden name I cannot spell! Went to school with Angela Daniel of Angela Daniel Jewellery if that counts.

Was taught PE by Tina Bell and Craig Monaghan (Hockey and Karate/judo, can't remember which). Went to school with Dean O'Gorman and his brother Brett (who is in some car add now - dont know the one, but the song is something about a Gigilo). Knew a few North Harbour Rugby players from being involved in the younger boys tournaments back in the day.

Can't think of anyone else...

Grew up next door to Rodger Gray (NZ All White) so of course know Sandra Edge as she is married to him!

Went to school with Kees Meeuws.

My brother is best friends with Johnny Ried so I see him quite often.

My DH was to become an All White until he tore his hamstring. He is gutted by this injury as it has hindered his whole footballing career ever since.

Oh and Dad is good friends with Stephen Tindall of The Warehouse fame, we went to school with his kids and his daughter used to babysit us.

I had the pleasure of spending time with him and his wife Ana last year.

Kees Meuws used to look after me when he was going out with our neighbour. He is the father to a friends children.

I played netball in CHC with a few of the ladies from down there.

Altho softball is not a well followed sport in NZ, I have had the pleasure of playing with most of the womens team and know most of the mens team.

[QUOTE=mummy_becks] ]Roger Fox - famous jazz trombone player - his neice is on here too.[QUOTE]

That'd be me!

Haha.

So yes, my Uncle is Roger Fox - Unless know your Jazz, you probably won't know him, but your parent probably would, lol.

I've spent a week being trained and directed by Robyn Malcolm of Shortland Street and Outrageous Fortune fame - I LOVE her. Really lovely lady, but don't piss her off! Haha. I met her son Charlie and she was heavily pregnant with baby #2 at that stage.

Corey Jane hit on me ("hey, how's it goin'? Can I have your number?") whilst I was waiting for DF to clean up after a rugby game last year - Admittedly I had no idea who he was, and then when DF pointed him out and I told him he had spoken to me, he just about wet his pants and has taken great pleasure in telling all his friends that Corey Jane hit on me.

I sold a pair of $365 RayBans to Ma'a Nonu... He's a t**ser.

DF has done a lot of electrical work for former NZ Miss Universe and Dancing with the Stars celeb, Lorraine Downes... I also had to give her a refund of $900 for sunglasses she purchased then didn't want.

My inlaws are good friends with Wellingtons Mayor, Kerry Prendergast.

Christian Cullen must get around! But we used to live around the corner from his parents in Paekakariki and we were introduced to him as my younger brother was the spitting image of Christian as a child (according to his parents) There was even an article in our local newspaper about the "young boy form Paekakariki who looks like Christian Cullen".

Uhmmmm, I know there's more but I have a crying baby in the background, so I better go do the decent thing and sort her out!

This is fun though!

I went to college with Brian Harvey (East17 - dodgy 90s band in the UK)

I went to school with Karl Burnett (Nick) & Angela Bloomfield (Rachel) (from Shortland Street). Also went to school with Krista Nobilo - who is the Vet Nurse on those TV ads. And...went to school with Troy Flavell and Ron Cribb (rugby players). And Megan Nicol - who is married to Jeremy Corbett. Used to work at Tony's in Henderson with Russell Dixon - he used to be the weather guy on TV3 and now does those Tegal Chicken ads on TV - he's the chef.

I used to work at TVNZ in HR, so met heaps of them, like Paul Holmes (ick), Alison Mau, Simon Dallow, Jim Hickey etc... Then got to meet Anastacia when she played at the TVNZ building live on Holmes. And got to see Robbie Williams play live when he came over for one of his concerts - he did an exclusive show... Husband's family is related to Matthew Cooper by marriage.

Think that's it...

I'm pretty sure anyone with even the tiniest drop of Maori blood is related to the Morrisons! hehe

There are tooooooonnes of them in Rotorua. It always made me laugh when I'd meet someone with my friend Zara and she'd be all "Oh yeah, that's my uncle/cousin/aunty"

Thats like the McDonalds here in Blenhiem, as in Leon McDonald the All Black... They are all related he he. I think my step son is even a cousin of his, lol.

Met him a few times, he is very nice, his wife is super lovely and their kids are very cute. A mate of mine is good friends with them.

Rod is friends with Aaron Mauger 's (all Black)wife's aunty. He went to their wedding after match as her date, I was in Aucks at Robbie Williams. Was gutted as he was drinking with Dan Carter. I drunkenly introduced myself to him (dan) and Ritchie YEARS ago before they were all black,s but were playing for canty in a sylie bar in chch one night..
Have cooked for Frankie Stevens and others, used to be a chef, Frankie is the only one who I can remember, but working in hosp you meet alot of "famous" people. Oh yeah one night when I still lived in Invers, so about 10 year ago, I met Andrew Mertans at the pub, and pretended I didn't know who he was. Got on the booze with him, he was very nice, and very short. Chickened out in the end, though....
Ummm. Met Jordan Luck a few times. He's a real drunk. He's funny but so rates himself.
Met lots of rugby players form working in hospo and found alot of them to be real arrogant jerks. Justin Marshall would be the biggest and rudest. a real up himself rates himself w@nker.

[QUOTE=SimSam]

I cant believe I am about to admit this...but I snogged Mikey Havoc at a party once.....a lifetime ago.

- LOL he dated one of my friends at school and came to our school ball!

I went to intermediate school and Uni with Wendy Petrie - she was and is a snob! I was in some classes with Greer Robson at Uni. Same as for Wendy re her!

Jo Rocokoko lives across the road and Jonah and others often come over to play! LOL. I dont follow rugby so usually cant tell who is who!

I went to high school with Anna Laurence (was captain of NZ hockey).

Ive met heaps of the NZ Americas cup sailors via DH.

Cant tell you the famous clients of course --sorry! There have been a few.....

I used to babysit for a bigwig music guy and so met the likes of Jordan Luck etc when they came back to the house for a coffee.

I met heaps of TVNZ celebs - Kate Hawkesby Eric Young etc when I went as a winner to a Red Door ball and got photos!

My dance instructors were Alison Imm (Zinzans wife), barbara kendall (we still see her and her bro etc at our club) and Suzy Aitken.

DH knows heaps more than me cause he was involved in variety bashes....full of celebrities

my babysitter was John Rowles....cute huh?

Lol that's funny as!! Go The Kelly.

Anyway. My cousin is Kate-Louise Elliott (was on Shorty St, as I think a receptionist and her evil twin who killed her? Dunno, never watched it. And on outrageous fortune and whanau and is currently in the show 'who needs sleep anyway'.)

My DH's real close family friend was Greg Whitecliffe (Whitecliffe College of Arts), he passed away a few years ago. DH lived with them for a while before Greg got sick. Harry's middle name Tikihana is named after Greg. He did an original crayon drawing for DH, it's hanging on our stairwell.

And depends what circles you go in, in Christian circles I know loads of people. Am mates with all the crew from Life fm and my DH does radio work and he's a journalist on Shine TV (on Sky), lol not really famous at all but to some people it might be!

DH used to work with Katherine from that NZ kids programme I forget what it's called. The one with the 2 chicks and the Samoan guy.

Oh and our close friend Luke used to be the news guy on ZM, and he's on the ad for the airforce or something - that one where the guys are fixing a car and a helicopter comes and whisks one of them away. He's the guy on the ground holding the spanner looking confused.

heh...yeah ,go The kelly lol

here, i got this about your cousin

Kate Louise Elliot played twins Avril/Bernadette Lucich (2004)

Avril fancied herself as a mover and shaker who would do anything to progress from temp to permanent member of Shortland Street staff. However, crossing Dom was not the wisest way to realise her ambitions, for the feisty P.A. was soon murdered. Bernadette, Avril’s twin, arrived at the clinic to take up Avril’s job and dig for dirt on her sister’s mysterious disappearance. Convinced Dom had something to do with it, Bernadette flipped and attacked him, landing herself in jail.

Ummm use to hang out with Seilala Mapusua and Filipo Levi. Have hung out once with Jerry Collins and Ma'a Nonu....at the pokies of all places!!. Ummm use to be in a education trust run by Matt TePou's wife (he's the maori all blacks coach) got to go to free games and study at their house sometimes. Ummmm can't think of any more at the moment. They're mainly sports people though.

Yup heaps of Morrison's in Rotorua cause they're tribe is Te Arawa which is that area. Oh and Mcdonalds in Blenheim...that funny cos a girl in my class the other week was saying just that, cos she's related.

I am going to get the spelling wrong but Ross Filipo??

Christian grew up down here, he took my cousin to his 7th form ball (many years ago now ) and then onto a family thing. Things would be so much different if they had of stayed together.
