I am thinking of going and doing some papers next year which the aim of picking up my degree that I dropped out of at 19!!!

It seems fairly daunting to think of going back, Confused even for one or two papers, and just wondering if there is anyone on here that is currently studying part time at Auck Uni, and if so - whether they have any tips or pointers for me?!

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

Next semester I am doing 3 papers, and this semester I did 3 as well. 4 I think is just a little too much with children.

I'm at Massey, just doing one paper per semester. I find that is plenty to handle along with Miss M, full time work and everything else!

I am studying but through UNISA ( A south african distance university) and it is totally frustrating waiting for material ect.

Tips I can give is take it slow in the beginning. I did 1, then 2 then 3 and now five subjects. (due to them not havign the books I had to move the one from the one semester to the next otherwise it would have been 4 then 4 again).

Study when you can even if it is just a little bit every day and dont try and cram it in before exams. The kids will get sick that week and you will not have the time to study.

Take time out for yourself as well. What works with McKayla is to have her own "study" stuff as well. She wants her own pen and papers and calculator to play with while I use my stuff.
