A friend of the family's 13 month old son got his first tooth the other week. When it came up it had a brown spot on it. She took him to the doctors and he said it was from all the antibotics and pamol he had been on.
He had had a lot of ear infections and colds e.t.c This sounded weird to me anyone had a simaliar experience??? -------------

My dentist to this day is still shocked how great my teeth are considering I spent the first 10 years of my life on antibiotics.
Prolonged use of antibiotics is known to bad for your teeth. -------------

My sister has funny teeth, kinda brown/cream bits on them - mum was told t was from antibiotics she was on for ear infections and so on as a child... ------------- Mum to two beautiful kids

My sister has shockingly stained teeth too, she's epileptic and apparently some of the drugs she was on as a baby made her teeth that way. ------------- Maya Grace (28/02/03)

Slightly OT too, but the gremlins first teeth came thru with white marks on them and the Plunket nurse said it could be from ME taking antibiotics when I was pregnant (which I did) and that their second teeth should be fine. ------------- Maya Grace (28/02/03)

My daughter Natasha has Hypo plastic teeth meaning they came through with patches of the enamel missing so look brown and can be soft and crumbly.
I have been told it could be from medication, she has taken heaps of antibiotics and been on steroids for 8 years.
