Have searched thru the old threads and can't find it but am guessing its probaly been answered before so sorry for that

My 6 new nappies have arrived and am excited about it all but am wanting to make some extra inserts.

My questions are:
1. Am thinking just to put 2 layers of hemp and 1 of micro fibre - will that be enough?
2. What hemp do I want? Have been on GreenBeans and do I want fleece, french terry or jersey?

TIA

If this is all you are going to use in them, it really depends on what type of wetter you have. If you have a heavy/medium wetter than I doubt it will be enough to last a decent amount of time. If you have a light wetter though, it may be enough. Trifolds are the best, 1 of hemp, 1 of micofibre and fold it to make 6 layers.

Jersey isn't very absorbent. Fleece and french terry are the same thing really. fleece is just brushed terry to give a fleecey look

You could either make a trifold or a pad style - if you trifold you'd get more absorbency & quicker drying time. But if you can't be bothered folding and want to make a pad-style then you'd want a combo of 3 or 4 layers, making sure the hemp is on the bottom (so that the microfibre gets wee on first). If you go for 4 layers maybe just connect them at the top so that the hemp & mf can seperate for drying (if that makes sense?).
