I thought I'd mention this in case anyone is in the hunt for sturdy table and chairs.
I saw these on trademe, went to their website and got a set for Daniel (the toddler sized) and it arrived this morning. It's so sturdy. I can sit on one of the little chairs and it takes the weight with ease!.
But the best thing of all is that it was cheap! It was only $70. All the other sets I looked at (that weren't rubbish) were so much more expensive.

Wow, that's pretty expensive... they have lovely wooden sets for $100-110 I think it was at a crafty sort of store here in Petone, but I guess not all places have something like that!

Are they plastic or wooden?
Hey, AliaDawn do you think the place in Petone would post? I have been looking for a nice wooden set but most of them are close to $200.

I searched for ages in town and online and they were one of the cheapest. Ones I found here in Palmy ranged between $40 - $200. All the cheaper ones were crap. The plastic looked like it was brittle and the cheaper wood ones weren't sturdy at all and the joins looked like they would come apart real easy.
Then online I looked at places like giddy giraffe etc and I couldn't justify the kind of prices they expected.
So only playing $70 for something that is small enough for Daniel and can hold my weight, I think that's pretty darn good!

That is pretty expensive for plastic IMO. I had a great wooden set with meltecca tops which was about $120 off TM 0 boardman is the user name. Although I haven't seen any listed for a while.

I don't think so... would probably cost heaps to post anyway. They are basically just a big shop that exhibits (and would take their cut of profits) home made things.
