Hi all,

Need a bit of help finding a pram suitable for newborn plus, something like a Phil & Teds but with a step for a toddler to stand on the back of the pram in front of me.

Has anyone seen or heard of these, or used one?
How suitable are they weight-wise, and are they as practical as the Phil & Teds where the toddler is also sitting?

I am looking into Phil & Teds though havent seen any in person yet. I think my toddler would be happier standing than sitting as she doesnt like to sit in her pram for longer than 5 mins lol.

If anyone has any feedback on these types of pram that would be much appreciated, thanks =]

Sounds like you are talking about the Mountain Buggy and the Kiddie Board ( I think that's waht it's called). I haven't got one or tried one although saw a Dad at the mall the other day with one.

I have been wondering how good they are as we have a MB and don't really want to get rid of it when he have #2 (eventually). Will watch with interest to see what others say.

We have a buggy board- its brilliant! It attaches to most prams and you can take it on and off. Charlotte was just 3 when Kate was born and I find it ideal. We still use it now when I walk them both to school in case she gets tired.

This isn't the one we've got but its the same idea.

If you look on trademe under doubles there is a fisher price one advertised as being from the uk never used. You could search it and check it out if you wanted! I looked at it but im needing a double seated one I think

I had a buggy board for Maya when the gremlins were tiny, she loved it but I hated it, it made the buggy waaaaay too heavy to push. But she was 3 1/2 and about 20kg at the time so it would prob work heaps better with a younger/smaller child. Valco do one called the Toddler Tourer which fits any pram/buggy with a back axle. We fitted it to our Baby Love Duolite twin buggy. It does void the warranty on the buggy tho.

thanks for all your suggestions, it helps having some brand names to research. i didnt know where to start, but now i can have a proper look =] i did wonder whether the pram would be really heavy to push. question about the phil and teds, is it a hassle/heavy easing the double buggy with toddler on top and newborn on bottom up kerbs, around tight corners eg supermarket aisles etc??
