I saw it and quite liked it, I think I will become addicted too. I found it quite sad though, all the heartache military families must go through.

I was thinking the same thing as I watched it. It just came to me though. I think he was in Charmed, he was Piper and Leo's son come back from the future (saw re-runs last weekend). Can't think of anything else he has been in

i listened to it while sitting on the comp and watched any of the scenes with the lil bubs in it...with tears streaming down my face......especially the part where the 'mum' was breastfeeding one of the twins and she got upset    i could never surrogate!

the whole birth scene got me annoyed though.....she was only 4cms and then was pushing....then where did the cord go after the bubs were born??   but yeah...it's tv delivery so that's what you get

i'll still watch it next week, i'm a sucker for shows like that.......also looking forward to watching that other new one with lucy lu in it......can't remember what it's called

Thanks Linzy!  Solved the mystery for me.  He was the white lighter though wasn't he?  Came back from the future to ensure the son didn't turn into a badass and the kill him if he did.

Ha ha, that practically happened to me too, give or take an hour, gave my midwife quite a shock to see my baby's head while she was trying to convince me not to push.

Yep well being a military wife I had to watch - we all joked on base that we should watch together but then decided we might start drawing comparisons (and maybe not all favourable, hehe).  So I think I will become a regular watcher, as like others I am a sucker for these kind of shows too.

I only watched the second half but I thought that was pretty interesting, will be giving it a proper go next week.
The ads for Cashmere Mafia look pretty good. Bit like SATC but more drama/comedy..?

Thats exactly where he was from I had to check imdb.com to find out where I 'knew' him from, and to do a little reading on others questions and feedback - and some spoilers

I watched a bit of it. Man if only being an army wife was that exciting!

Plus, check out their houses!
a) never ever on an army wage unless you're a well-ranked officer and you're old could you get all that nice stuff a few of them had
b) has anyone seen the defence housing? We're talking walk-down-the-hallway-and-fall-through-the-floor state houses, not wee flashies!

It's oh-so American tho... booyaa and such. Drives me bonkers.

Am looking forward to Cashmere Mafia though - it's had great reviews.

Emz i agree I wish defence housing looked like that - what i wouldn't kill for a warm house that you don't go through the floors of!!

Maybe will have to talk respective hubbys/partners into changing to US defence force??

I loved it, and as an Army wife who is about to go into the housing area my friend joked that I would have to be all social with the rest of them.

My army house looks pretty good from the outside (will let you know next weekend what it is actually like), and it has a fire and fully insulated and i think we have double glazing on the windows. But I am going to the coldest hole in NZ!!!

Becks - Waiouru (well most of the NI actually cos the SI doesn't matter apparently) was done first. They have just put carpet down in Burnham. We were lucky in that we had a reasonably good house usually left for higher ranks but it was the only one free at the time so we got it. Glad we got out of there.

I really think it helps having kids with the socialising thing. I never really spoke to anyone as they were all a bunch of snobby tarts because my DH had only been in 5 years and I was only 19/20 at the time. One piece of advise - the rank and the army attitude is not left at the gate, it follows you home. I'm sure Waiouru will be fine cos its such a small community people make it work.

I know all about the rank thing not being left at the gate. Nigel's cousin has just left after being a StfSgt and was helping a guy move onto Linton into the housing area there and they had to move the truck a certain way to get it onto the driveway so that they could reach the door and this woman came running out of her house as they had left tire marks on her grass. She had a full on go at Neil and then asked who he was. And he just said his rank and name and told her to get her husband to come over to his work and they would get it fixed up. Her husband was a private and felt real stink after having a go at him, cos of the whole rank thing.

I am hoping it will be ok for us up there, I have been told from so many people now that rank means everything , to me I don't really care.
