Maisy spilt milk all over her bean bag on monday and whilst emptying it, a few went on the floor........actually it was more like a snowstorm. anyway, thought i was keeping a pretty good eye on Maisy but when i changed her nappy this morning......yep, loads of lil white balls.
can this be dangerous/poisonous? |

I think it is fine as you've found them in her nappy, so they've just passed through her. My daughter stuck a couple up her nose once  and luckily they came out after a few days as she had shoved them quite far back!------------- http://lilypie.com">

Oh dear!!
I wonder if anyone else has had any lil accidents with these balls........ i was just worryed as they hed been in her for 48 hrs and not really sure what they are made of.....dont they contain lead???? |

ring health line just to make sure
polystyrene is banned in preschools because it can swell when inside you but being that they were those little small balls i would say she is fine and obviously passing them ------------- http://lilypie.com">

Oh I got told it was on top of the list as one of the most dangerous things a kid could ingest and the problem is made worse because they can't be picked up on a x-ray. That was by plunket" the list of things not leave around the house".

just had call back from doctor. she should be fine, unless she is constipated then there is no need to worry.
also, unless she stuck her head in the bean bag (which she didnt) then it is unlikely that she would of inhaled them. thanks for all your replies.......i can stop worrying now |

Great that she is OK!! No linky, our nurse just told me that and I I have it also in my PAFT handbook if you do PAFT it should be in there somewhere (I think its around the 6-7month one?). Hehe the things they eat! Oh when I say most dangerous I mean, in normal household situations I mean obviously in a WHOLE list of stuff that could hurt them rat poison or fertillizer would be there lol.
