DH and I had a bit of a argument and today I went on a big spending spree- I went online and bought a whole lot more from pumpkin patch that I didn't get last time ($270 worth ), I got £40 worth of books I've been wanting to get off amazon, I went into town and spent £65 on clothes for the girls and £45 on clothes for me! I feel so stupid and immature- I spend money because I know its the thing that will upset him the most. He'll be mad but its my savings I spent too- I feel like a real d*ck at the moment.

Please people tell me stupid things you've done when you've been mad at your other halves so I don't feel like I'm the only twit out there!

Cleaned the whole house so it was sparkling.
I am also a compulsive shopper when I get angry.

lol I clean when I get angry too, not really a bad thing as when I calm down I think oh yay now I've got a clean house. I don't spend money though since I am the only budget police round here..hubby is terrible with money.

I do everything around the house when I'm angry - not letting him do anything.
Looking after Hannah, cleaning, cooking, etc.

But I do it with a bad grace, so he'll feel bad.

***edited cos I can't spell my childs name.

I tend to do everything and not let him do anything....its suppose to make him feel bad and guilty but I think its probably more of a reward

I am a big money spender but more when I am bored and have nothing else to do. I had a quiet day at work yesterday so brought more nappies and pumpkin patch stuff online

Me too... which is silly 'cause a lot of our arguments are over him not doing enough around the place! Talk about self-defeating!

One other time though I was serving up dinner, a favourite of DH and he did something to annoy me so I threw his dinner on the ground

I sulk or throw a tanty! I never did that as a child, I think its some kind of regressive thing.

I dont shop, cos we dont have any money but I do make food he doesnt particuarily like for dinner.

My DH always offers me a back rub when hes feeling bad from doing something worng and when im angry i usually say "NO!! save your stupid back rubs!" then i lay there thinking "oh man it would be soooo nice to have a back rub right now!!" so i actually shoot myself in the foot doing that but if i say yes then he thinks he is breaking the barier of anger!

Also i do the budget in our house and when he peeves me off about money (maoning when i buy something for $10 on TM) i dont allow any money for his smokes! *insert evil face and laugh* which are $20 a week i might add (why should he be able to buy smokes every week and i get nothing! )

I'm a tanty thrower too, if I am mad then the whole world knows about it. The most frustrating thing is that he usually gets in his car and takes off and by the time he comes back an hour or so later I'm over it, so I don't get the satisfaction of an audience when I'm throwing a tanty

I'm also a compulsive shopper but we have separate bank accts, money etc. so if I spend it's my own money and it doesn't have quite the same satisfaction...

Men should know they will never win, women are much more evil and cunning.

I usually sigh alot and I give him the silent treatment, not that he probably cares, then eventually I will end up shouting, swearing and bawling and lying on the bed, hoping he will come in and comfort me, which he usually does. Pathetic really.

Sometimes if I am sh*tty at him cos I feel like I am doing everything, he will offer help and I will have a mental at him and refuse his help, when I really could do with a break, I'm another self defeatest!!!

Haha I pretty much do all of the above as well! Our house is currently spotless- as are my well dressed/fed children who he has barely been able to interact with since I've done everything to do with them last night and today. Plus I haven't spoken to him since (apart from my giant tanty at the time!).

I would also run away to Mums if I could but since shes on the other side of the world its kind of hard. Although....
