If you go on the road to wanaka (state highway 6)
and drive for roughly 4 min lowburn is on the right there is a big sign turn off there, the hall is just behind the inlet which you drive beside. (hope thats easyish to follow)( If you drive for about another 4 min towards wanaka thats pisa moorings which is where we live)
How old are your children/child? If you want a contact number for plunket i know 2 of the mums on the commitee.

We have been here for just over 1 week now!

My daughter, Amelia is almost 2 and we have another in the oven :)

I figured out where Lowburn was and unfortunately I don't drive so it will be impossible for us to go.

I haven't ventured out much, morning sickness has been keeping me very quite!

I don't know how old you are but there is a young mothers group on Thurs morn at plunket rooms. Also rhytym and dance at the presbeterian church on Tues morn is a great way to meet other mums.

I hope the morning sickness eases up I hated that part.

I might go check out the rhythm and dance at the church though have also been put of by that sort of thing due to the religious content but now that Amelia is older and can understand more - I can explain to her now.

My age (nearly 28) falls into the cracks of neither young nor old! I did ring about that group and was told most of the mums who go there are early 20's or younger.

Are there are any coffee groups or maybe we can start one up?

The rhythym and dance is not actually church orientated they just run it. I took my daughter Jasmine when she was a preschooler.

There should be a playgroup for Amelia's age group I will keep an ear open for one suitable for her age.

I am going to the plunket rooms on Friday they are having a talk on immunisation and skin care.

I'm keen to start a coffee group at my place now that I am feeling better. Would anyone be keen to come along?

Hi nzpiper   There seems to be something on everyday.

Monday theres a running group or walking group
Tuesday is rhythm and dance
Wednesday is mini muscles
thurs there is a young mothers group
Friday there is a playgroup at lowburn hall

There is also a toy library, several playgrounds and plunket should be able to hook you up to a coffee group for your childs age.

when I moved here i found people very friendly
