Are there any fishy people in here.

Whats the difference between a Marine aquarium and a tropical one?

I want to get a fish tank.. With cool fish.

Like a nemo and a dory (off finding nemo) but they are marine fish and we have only ever had tropical.

i can ask my DP , he likes fish, in fact his fathers occupation is building fish tanks and aquariums, he helped build Kelly Tarltons and the new seal enclosure at Auckland Zoo

Presumably a marine one would be salt water, and those are much more difficults to maintain.    Plus, those nemo fish are seriously expensive in comparison to tropical fish.

My sister is a fishy person. She had some freshwater clown fish which looked similar to Nemo, not sure what she has atm but she has a huge tank with a heater, filter etc., the kind that makes you wanna pee every five mins just listening to it.

She also has a shark in a small bowl on her dressing table, I always thought sharks were big scary things with lots of teeth but they apparently come in smaller versions, much smaller.

My friend has fish like that. If you want to chat with her flick me a PM. They have 3 tanks of tropical fish and they love them. I think she has a shrimp and some other funky ones.

I used to have tropical fish but they all died within a year so I wouldn't recommend spending very much money on them at all! Siamese Fighting fish are pretty cool.
