At the moment my sons favourite TV add is the Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolate one with the Gorilla banging away at the drum to IN THE AIR TONIGHT...lol...he just stands still through out the hole add.
My favourite add is still the BIRDS and the BEES add... -------------

my favourite ad ever is the Rollos one from the 80s with the Elephant and obnoxious boy (its on youtube)

yea that gorilla add is great
Also like that beer add (forgot which brand) where the man biffs his gum, the Kea finds him & he ends up with it stuck in his hair, then a bird sh*ts in his breakfast & pulls the brake off his bike etc. He then witnesses someone throwing away a bottle cap, only to be slapped by a seal ------------- Mummy of Two Boys B: 2004 K: 2007 |

Ohh good topic to start up.
Well my little man absolutely adores the BNZ Piggy Bank ads, he gets so excited when it comes on the tele. You have to admit, it's very cute and a neat concept. I want to open up a junior account and get him a piggy bank... He used to like the cadbury 'Wouldn't it be nice if the world was Cadbury ....blah blah' ad with the lil chocolate people. And he likes the nappy one with the kids running around, he thinks that is hilarious. I find he actually prefers the ads to the tv program that is on lol. I guess it's partly because he recognizes them as we usually have a tv on here all day in the background (I hate silence) As for me I've always loved the ad about the birds and the bees, and also that uppercuts ad (I think it was uppercuts? Or some kind of chip?) where the guy says he will bet his left nut and then he tastes it, and the ad finishes with him singing in a choir and a REALLY high voice ...hahahaha ------------- Single Mum to a darling wee boy of 3 years :) |

The cadbury choccie ad with the gorilla is to tie in with a promotion they've got on where people have the chance to win a drum set (or something like that  all I know is my DH is VERY eager to win some!)

The gorilla is playing the drumkit that you can win when you buy cadbury dairy milk at New World - each store has one to giveaway I think. I love the gorilla one, and the birds and the bees. Apart from them being so much louder than the programmes they don't mind me. ------------- I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived! |

I love the birds and the bees one too, the hyundai ones are cute but I keep thinking how irresponsible that couple on the cafe are because they just wave as the toddler drives past (yes, I know it's not real but still it really bugs me.... mind you him using a tree to fly in the window I don't mind - go figure).
One of my fav ads is the one where they sing "show us your crack" I PMSL the first time I heard that ad (I may have had a few drinks). -------------

Oh i wanna win the drum kit too...that would be awesome...my step sister sold her set...my mum plays and i used to bang around a bit when i was younger but i would love for Lycan to learn how to play them.....New World here we come.

Ha - i was seriously thinking of starting this thread the other day, for a second there I had wondered if I atcually did and just forgot
My favourite add is the pink bats add.... I love the look on the old grannys face as shes being cuddled by the Pink 'thing' The drumming gorillia was another one I had thought of. I dunno what it is, I just love it. I also quite like the add with all the foam - looks like fun! -------------

There's another ad that we love. I can't remember what it's for but the lady's in the supermarket with her son, he looks as if he's about to throw a tantrum but before he can she throws one instead (on the floor kicking thrashing screaming etc), and the boy is left shocked - love it! -------------

I'm liking the Cadbury gorilla too. And Ella always adored the National Bank ad's (the ones playing Vivaldi with the horse appearing everywhere) - she'd hear the music and rush to the tv shouting "neigh! NEIGH!!". She loves the BNZ pigs too - but I think they're mighty cute as well. ------------- Andie |

Cooper likes the Gorilla ad, he'll start bopping up and down when the drumming starts. He also likes the Vitaweat ad where the mouse steals the crackers and leaves the cheese. Oh and the rat poison ad where the rat is sitting on the chair screaming.
I like the Pink Batts ad too, I'd love to have my own Pink Batt  Also the Tens ad where they show the different kinds of laughter.

Ashleigh also stops whatever she is doing when the National Bank ads with the horse comes on. And the pink batts ad! Sony probably really did do the bubbles.
The one for Sony where they splatter the tower blocks with paint in explosions was really done on a housing estate in Glasgow, UK (just before the tower blocks got demolished). I can't stop laughing at Show us Your Crack either (it is not on nearly enough) ------------- |

Maya loves the BNZ piggies, she does this crazy dance when they come on, she has ever since they first came out when she was about 3.
Willie loves the gorilla ad, I think it's pretty cool but I can't see what it has to do with chocolate? He is a cute gorilla tho! And the birds and the bees is classic. Not a fan of the Hyundai ads, I think they are tacky. Oooh but talking about tacky, the ASB Ira Goldstein ads are so tacky they actually work. -------------  Maya Grace (28/02/03)
