Yeah its freezing today!

We have had wicked hail storms. Our deck had 3cm of hail layered all over it. It really looked like snow. It took a long time to thaw out too.

It's a blizzard here, not much fun as we can't go play in it so windy and sleety.

I don't usually feel the cold much, and I doubt it's as cold here in Auckland as it is for you ladies, but I have to say, if I had balls, they'd be frozen right off tonight.

Snow on the Kaimai Ranges so it's pretty cold here. So much so that I'm too wussy to go out to the letterbox to get my newspaper

It was friggin cold at lunchtime in Wellington then when we got out of the movies (about 4pm) it was lovely and still.  We could see snow on the distant mountains as we wandered around the harbour and it was still cold but actually warmer than it had been this afternoon and really a perfect winter evening.  The calm before the storm no doubt as that southerly's expected very very soon.... in time for the rugby.

http://stuff.co.nz/4608902a10.html - Here's the news on the weather

It has been jolly cold here in Palmy. 5deg at 9am and 2deg at 6pm. Unreal! And hailstones that didn't melt until after 2pm (most of them fell last night!!!) It's amazing. We got sleet about 3pm, or was it light snow??? Wow. And the forecast seems similar temperature all week. eek.

I think it must have snowed nearly everywhere yesterday. It snowed here not much but was very exciting. I think its been about 5 or so yrs since Reporoa had snow. Then when i went to Rotorua yesterday evening with a friend we were in Kathmandu and yep it was snowing, everyone in the shop was buzzing. It was bloody cold the wind was horrible.
Then wake up this morning to nice sun but man the wind is chilling, will get the washing dry fast, thats if it doesn't get blown off the line
