I was so far only doing 3 papers - 1 in semester 2 and 2 in summer semester.

DO you think its going to be a handful doing 2 papers per semester extramurally with 2 kids (mainly in daycare) and posibly pregnant?????

WHat was your experience??

What paper did you add??

I'm doing 2 papers while Daniel is still at home full time and we will maybe be preggers towards the end of the year. Next year I'm maybe doing 3 papers first semester and still running my business. So I'm another nutter too

What I'm doing is I've started this week rather than when the semester officially starts next week. This gives me a bit of extra time if anything comes up. I'm hoping to stay constantly 1 week ahead of time the whole semester.

Once Daniel is in bed and we have had dinner I go study so from 7:30pm through to around 9-9:30ish. During the day while Daniel has a day sleep I try and get some reading done too. I'm also devoting 1 weekend day (the whole day) to study.

I'm going to see how this goes and then if I'm struggling I'll ask my mum if she wants to look after Daniel for a day a week so I can get an extra day in. We can't afford daycare at the moment so thats just not an option for us.

Hi there,

Even though I am pregnant with my first child, I have been doing 4 papers a semester plus working 20 hours a week as a librarian (I study law and international relations). I found out I was pregnant half way through the first semester of this year, and I will be about 8 month pregnant when I finish this semester.

It is not hard, the only hard part for me was the morning sickness at the beginning. Just when you do exams, to advise your course co-ordinator, so they can make the right arrangements, in terms of seating in a exam.

I will also be going back straight to uni 8 weeks after I have my child, but I am lucky I have my husband to look after the baby most of the time.

It can be done, just make sure you keep your energy levels up, and even take naps during the day if you have to. My grades did not suffer from last semester, and I do not expect that they will for this semester.

Stacey my weeks and study is arranged almost exactly like yours!

I started reading all my papers/ books etc as soon as i got them 2 weeks ago as i think it will be good to be at least a week ahead...but that was when i was just doing the 1 paper ....im glad it is (sounds) easy to get 2 papers done in 1 semester

I'm making sure I get one paper done during the week - all the reading etc done and then on the weekend I'll do the other paper. Of course if I finish the first paper earlier in the week I'll start the other one. At least that way I know it will all get done.

I've already informed DH that he will be doing much more of the housework than he is now

If only I could do that. Nigel is at work from 6am till at least 6pm (usually more like 8pm) then when he comes home he eats and then goes to bed. I nee to find my folders in the boxes so I can make a start.
