Just from experience with MY baby lol she didn't like the rocker we had one and she hated it because the rocking motion was her sleep que so when she had gotten up from a nap had a feed and a cuddle then got put in her rocker and rocked she must have thought it was sleep time again.
Anyway we were given a FisherPrice bouncer and it was great because she could make it move herself by kicking her legs so you dont have to sit there and rock it lol and they have kool music and stuff. But I know alot of people said their babies liked rockers as well.

Next time we are getting another bouncer and a electric swing.

I have a cheep Bouncer $40...and DD loved it when she was little. My MIL bought a rocker with vibration chair and toy mobile thingie...and she hated it....atleast hated the vibrations!!

I am thinking of getting a electrical swing as well!! I heard they are great to calm baby as well as put them to sleep!! And if this baby is any thing like DD, then I will need it!

We have a Baby First rocker...its run off batteries. It can be locked in place or set to a speed for rocking. It also plays music, you can even plug your ipod into it and play your own music!! Im trying to get another one as I have 14 wk old twin girls and they love it. Unfortunatley they are out of stock till August.

Hi ya,

Bouncers are spring loaded so when baby moves the bouncer will move itself. The rocker on the other hand is manual so will require you to move it to keep baby occupied.

Swings are really great because they operate either off batteries or power.

A bouncer is one thing I wouldn't be without, it was a lifesaver when our little ones were tiny and we were trying to have dinner, my husband and I got quite good at co-ordinating eating and bouncing baby at the same time! LOL!

The Fisher Price ones are really good because they all have the calming vibrations, and it really does work.

We used a swing for both girls. It's fantastic, and automatic. Great for reflux.
Our locks in position so it can be used as a highchair too.
Got ours off TradeMe as new.
