I was just wondering is there a limit to how many you can have?...
I know most people get a baby shower put on for them when they have their first child but does anyone do it for the second or third? I am just asking because i dont know if its rude or not...a few of my girlfriends that missed out on the first one would like me to have another one for this baby...Im just in two minds about it....

I had one for Andrew but didn't for Josh. If I have another one I would like to have one again as I have a completely different group of friends now.

I wouldn't organise one for a second child myself, but if your friends/family would organise it for you, it wouldn't come off as being rude.

I have heard of women having 'nappy showers' where gifts of nappies are received. I think that's because you probably have most of the essential items for a baby from your first child. So you could have something like that? Or hope that your friends organise something for you

I have never had one, most of my close friends were in Aust, moved back here at 12wks preg

But I did just to a Tupperware baby shower for  a friend of a friend & it was her 3rd child, I cant see anything wrong with it!!

Maybe they could take you out for lunch or something and give you their pressies then if they want to make a big event of it?

I didn't have a shower with Caitlin (didn't really think about it to be honest) and would feel weird having one for #2 as I still have most of the stuff I would need.

My mum and SIL put one on for me when I was pg with Jack. I would love to have one when we eventullay have #2, I would just love to have friends for High Tea at the Langham (My very favourite thing) but with no pressies.

I have been to a 2nd baby baby shower, it really surprised me at first but then I thought, why not? The baby needs nappies and clothes just like the first one; just less one-off things like cots and fingernail clippers etc. I reckon they should be organised for all pregnancies! If someone is offering to throw you a party, go for it!

I had one for Gina but didn't get around to having one for Emma - she arrived too early without a warning, otherwise I may have had one
