what is the major difference between the two?

weve only been to chipmunks and loved it....is there a price difference, playground difference etc? is there an under threes area at lollipops?

also does lollipops in auck get mega busy on weekend mornings? we did chipmunks pakuranga and it only really got mega busy about 11 30am which was nice....

and most important - which did your kids prefer if theyve been to both?

We did Lollipops on our boys birthday last week. He loved it, there was so much more there for him to play with. From memory it was the same price.

There is an awesome area for the lilttle ones, even a roller coaster we were lucky it was empty when we were there and he went mad on it!
ooo and the ball pit, he lost all consiousness and literally dived into it....if only I remembered the camera

They had an area with cars in it too, which Chipmunks doesn't have.

Diffently worth a try in this crap weather!

I find Lollipops better for younger kids, they have better variety of stuff the littlies can do then, chipmunks for the older ones (over five) as they have more (bigger) climbing things.
We've spent time at the New Lynn Lollipops years ago when the bigger girls were small then we moved onto Chipmunks Lincoln Rd. It was really the kids that dictated the change....and where their friends had parties.
Got to go Alyssa throwing a massive tanty!!!!!

There are others to also look at. In Wellington we also have Little Monkeys (now I think called little rascals) and Junglerama.   I liked Junglerama because it was big, had lots of light and was warm! I would also say it was very clean as they were closed for a couple of days due to having a virus...think it was noravirus or something like that
