I know this has to be done sooner or later, and we're nearly in August .
I think Emma will be very proud of us, making our toddler thread, without her having to come in & do it for us!

Poor Cat, having a toddler!
I've just noticed Jett seems to look like a little boy now. I think it's his hair. It's grown quite thick and makes him look more grown up .

Oh gosh, I don't ever want to bring up the issue of having another baby with Dh, as he's all for it!! Obviously he doesn't want one anytime soon, and not under the circumstances we're in now (him running the business where we can get any decent employee's & it's too stressful). I think when he gets out of painting & things are better financially, he'd been more than happy to add to the broad! Although he also isn't fussed about getting the chop, which I want him to do. He just says he'll wait a few more years to do it, just incase I change my mind!

hehehe...sorry couldnt help myself here....did you really mean add to the broad? I mean I know the "broad" gets bigger when pregnant but I just dont imagine you would refer to yourself as a "broad"........perhaps he might consider adding to the brood?

She is my baby and it is going to stay that way ( I am shaking in the corner nervous about the toddler times)
Why do they grow up so fast, I would not change it for the world but I do miss the lil baby who just used to lie in my arms hehe

Well, since Bella just had her first birthday, I guess I will write in here .
Had the in-laws come down on Friday so we had a really busy weekend, but Bella enjoyed herself.
The party yesterday was great - lots of food, she got spoiled with presents but just a good catch-up with everyone.
Bella has started pointing at things now and is starting to say more sounds already, so I guess her hearing is much better. She can now say dada, mummum, ta and makes the 's' sound. She got some stacking cups for her birthday and I watched her this morning really trying to work out how they fit into each other. Oh, and she can put some blocks in the correct hole of her shape sorter . Still no standing or anything like that, but I think she is concentrating on other things for now.
I have my scan on Wednesday - will try and get on to let you know what happened (I'm working late that day though).
Hope all the bubbas - whoops - toddlers are all good

eek!! Too many babies are turning one!! This time last year we all have newborns or about to pop!!
Half my wisdom tooth broke off this afternoon. I'm soo not looking forward to the bill of having to a) fix it, or b) get it pulled. I'll find out tomorrow morning when I see the dentist. Actually Cat, you're a dental assistant right? What are the chances of a dentist being able to pull a bottom wisdom tooth?? They're saying an oral surgeon might have to do it! Wicked, typical of me to break the hardest tooth to get at.
Jett's been miserable today. He's slept most of it, 3 hr sleep this morning & 3 hr sleep this avo. He's just woken & seems happier, just hope it lasts.

I try to avoid the dentist. But i think i have some holes cause it hurts when i eat chocolate
Aww and now theres more August babies coming along. Its been a fast year hasnt it?
I just picked up a laybuy from the warehouse. Its just some clothes for Briahna and id forgotten about it but they called me up the other day. I got quite alot actually especially for only $70 lol. Its all so cute like a little purple tracksuit thing. Didnt realise i got 1 and half though! oops!

hmmm they should be able to do it italiah unless its seriously impacted (sideways to the other teeth) but if some of its broken then id say it should be ok most dentists will try and get you to get it out tho, but if you have to go to a oral suergon for the amount youll $$$ you may as well get all of them out as theres not much difference in $ .
itd probably be cheaper to get it pulled than fixed. mines giving me hell at the moment too im getting 2 out on monday yay.
lol mellin my teeth hurt with chocolate too! if your teeth hurt with sweet things it means theres a break in the shiny stuff over your teeth and possibly decay inside the tooth
if your tooth is sore to touch, or plays up when you drink hot or cold things, its the nerve playing up and it may come right and settle down if you leave it . . or you may need a root canal
ohhh mellin the warehouse sizes really pi$$ me off! o got jett a dressing gown and got a size 1 then got it home and their size 1 is only 9-12 months!
i have a big layby at the warehouse here but keep forgetting to go in and pay some off it,
ohhhh kylahs birthday tomorrow!
jetts birthday next sat! :( hes running now! cheeky thing loves to be chased! ohhh to have that much energy

yeah i had completely forgotten about it and had only paid $15. hehe.
Ohh haha go Jett. I dont want Briahna to run cause im seriously unfit! haha!

I'm very surprised at how little Jett is. He hasn't put on weight nearly as fast as Rico & Gia did. But he's not to small by any means either. Size 1 in the body fits, but size 1 in the legs are too long, so he must be a shorty. R & G were easily in size 1 by 9-10 months. I don't think Jett is 10 kgs yet either. I bought heaps of size 1 winter pants & I don't think he'll wear them much before it gets too hot. Although it may be cold for quite a few months yet, so then he will. I put him in the sz 1 pants anyway cos the sz 0 are little too short & he gets cold legs.

Thanks Kim, dont worry that 'safe' place has Kylahs birth certificate too! I want to open a bank account for her but cant find that safe place.
Kylahs birthday was good. Sucked because my grandad is dying and my mum and uncles had to go down there because hes deteriorating(sp) fast. My mum was so upset to miss her birthday but i told her Kylahs going to be here for years, grandads got days possibly weeks..
We are off to willowbank today, it looks like its going to be a nice day here so its perfect :)

warehouse has really cheap umbrella strollers kandice.
yea im already getting mad with jetts party, so far ive told 1 person she cant come as i dont want her in my house as we got them a really good job with dh and they went behind dh's back to the opposition!
warned 2 others (dh's family) that the day isnt about them so i dont want to hear any of their crap
told dh's entire family that im NOT changing the time or day so its their loss if they cant make it.
my aunt cant make it as shes got terminal cancer and has a few weeks
and my other aunt is going into waikato that same day to get both breasts removed
i didnt really have a party for sarahs 1st birthday , and ive always felt soooooo guilty for it so i really wanted jetts to be special as sarahs pretty much organised the entire thing lol shes so excited.

Tom is really lucking out compared to you guys in the party stakes. We have a little friend coming over the day before for afternoon tea and a couple more of my friends (one with a 3 week old and the other 37 weeks preg with twins).
But on his birthday we are flying up to the grandparents for a week so I am sure he will get spoilt rotten. Already talked to his aunty and she has gone nuts....bought more than us and I know my folks will do the same. DH and I are sitting back thinking "should we buy anything more???"

Hey all.
We have had a pretty good couple of days. Except when we tried to take Kylah to willowbank, ended uo having to put her to bed and going in the afternoon. It was pretty cool though.
Kylah got spoilt rotten for her birthday.. Heaps and heaps of presents, we had to save some for yesterday as she just wasnt able to get through them all friday. Then we went to visit family and got more presents! She really was spoilt, horrible thing is now i actually have to find room for all this stuff.
Hope everyone else is well. Whos birthday next, is it Toms, or Jetts?
EllasMummy's daughter has the same birthday as Kylah im sure, so Happy Birthday Ella.

Hey girls
Well I'd just had Jett at the Dr's again, because when I was changing his nappy before I put him to bed tonight, I noticed a large lump on his tush again . I showed Dh, then decided I'd quickly take him to the after hours Dr to see what they thought. It is just below where the paeds cut to drain his last fistula. My heart sank when I saw the swelling. I thought that this time everything would be ok! The Dr said it could just be an infection from the cut, as there is no discharge from the cut, and hasn't been since his last surgery. So he's given me some antibiotic cream to put on the area, and Jett is already on AB's for his eye, so hopefully it will go away by itself. Jett has an appt with the Paed from Waikato, at Tga Hospital on Wednesday, so if nothing changes before then (as in, it doesnt' get worse) then the Paed can check it out.
Anyway, that's about all there is to report. I've put Jett to bed but he's not settling, so better go check on him.

Hello ladies, so sorry I haven't been on for ages, but happy birthday to Samara and Kylah. Sounds like you had good days and congrats on getting through the first year!
I haven't been feeling the best. I was struck down with this cold/flu 'thing' that is striking people up and down the country. Went to work last Monday but was told I shouldn't be there so called in sick for the rest of the week. Have been feeling really rotten (don't think being pregnant helps things). REALLY sore throat, coughing, snotty/blocked nose, sneezing, feeling REALLY lethargic and nauseous and haven't eaten much for ages (in fact I think I've lost weight, so haven't put on ANY weight yet for this pregnancy). Then the last few nights has seen me start vomiting straight after dinner and generally feeling miserable so have been taking to bed at 8.30pm!! Back to work tomorrow which I'm not looking forward to, I'm just hoping I'm over the worst of it.
And...the other reason I think I've been feeling nauseous/dizzy is because I'm starting to feel baby move . My Mum said it always made her feel a little 'seasick' until the body adjusts, and thats exactly what its like.
Bella has also been sick with this cold which of course went to her ears and she still has wax oozing from them and has been miserable with it and not sleeping for the last few days. Plus I think she is teething.
On the bright side, its been a cracker day today and I am feeling Spring in the air. Can't wait for the warmer weather. So far this year has been crap filled with sickness/tiredness/being overworked and stressed! Can only get better, huh??

I have a headache and its soooooo cold here, we have ran out of gas for the heater and i dont get paid till tomorrow. Iv hung up blankets to stop the cold air coming up the stairs and trying to keep what heat we get from the oil heater in.

Our landlord is the same chick. Its so cold in our house that i have to hang sheets up to divide our upstairs to stop the cold getting in.
Ring her up again, or ring the tenancy tribunal and have a chat to them. See if she can be made to sort it out. If not to can ask to have your tenancy ended so you can move somewhere suitable. I think you pay $20 for the application.

Hey everyone
I'm so tired. Jett's waking numerous times in the night at the moment. I'm wondering if this new lump is hurting him, or agitating him & waking him up. He's getting even more demanding with BF and wants both sides when he wakes up. Grrr. He sees the paed tomorrow, so I can't wait for that to see what he thinks about his new lump. I rang a formula company today wanting a sample of goats milk, but they didn't do one, they said Karicare do one though, so I must ring them. I'm wanting Jett off the boob & onto a milk that won't upset the eczema. Also Dh & I are going away for a night for our anniversary next month & I don't want to have a baby in tow! I need a break, so need him onto a formula.
Rico's settling into school really well. He plays rugby & soccer at playtime, so comes home with grubby pants. I'll be expecting a hole in the knee soon. His sooky-ness has settled down a lot as well, so hardly any tears now. I think he's coping supurbly with being at school all day, and not having a sleep.
Nice to hear from you Shell, and Chonni. I can't imagine how tired/exhausted you must be Shell with being sick, pg & working!!! Hats off to ya.
Exciting about your future move, Nikki. Guess it'll be all go in your house with packing up!
Hi to everyone else. I gotta scoot for now.

hi all
im having a sulky day today!
NOVEL!!!
dh still has his health issues so is in heaps of pain, and doesnt concentrate properly
anyway
besides our business he has a 8-5 heavy machinery service manager job hes had for 8yrs with a mate of his, wich basicly hes ONLY stayed on at to help his friend out as they cant find anyone else
anyway . .
dh and his friend have been at each others throats for months now and today his mate turned around and said dh was on his last warning or by monday hes out of there! i was like OMG WTF did you do and dh said he doesnt even know that his mates been saying $hit like that for weeks
dh is really down now and he just wont snap out of it, and to top it off a friend of ours mrs just announced on the weekend she was pregnant. they havnt been togeather very long and i say good on them but 1 of the boys who flats with the girl started mouthing off calling her every name under the sun and got really harsh behind her back and dh told me , so my big mouth i mentioned it to her as was a bit concerned about her living in the house with him as he is a really nasty piece of work when he has a opinion on something.
so she hit up dh's friend who totally went nuts at her , then he went nuts at dh too for telling me so now dh and his other mate arnt talking
and its coz of me
but i say if he (DH'S FRIEND) didnt want people to hear it he shouldnt have said it at all.

Hey ladies, I have not been around, trying to break my internet addiction but I decided i enjoy you guys too much to stop
Happy birthday to all those who have reached 1, it is such a scary thought. Life is mad with us at the moment, calving is always nuts but it is even worse on a new conversion but our staff are all going great thank goodness and everyone seems happy so that is most of the battle. We will be taking them for a night out once we survive calving. DH is working all hours about 5 am till 8pm and is really missing spending time with Lachie. But that is life.
We had a great birthday, very spoilt boy. I will post some pics. He is walking - growing up far too fast! He is down to just one boob feed in the evening. Since I have been on he has been in hospital for a night- he got dehydrated with a vomiting bug and now he has an ear infection. So he has gone from never being to the Dr to hard work this month but he seems to be over the worst of it and he slept through properly last night! Thank goodness. I have done a couple of days relieving at the local high school, was hard being away all day. But he is starting 2 half days at day care soon so that will be good becuase he has just started going through a really clingy stage - hopefully not for long.
Anyway I have been thinking of you all and I am looking forward to catching up with your news.

Great to hear from you again Jessica.
Well we had our scan today....all good and its a ....
healthy baby! (you will have to wait another 20 odd weeks for more info on that one). It was a bit sad as I had to say goodbye to my OB as we are moving and wont be using her. Will see my MW once more before we leave. So now I have to sort out a new MW and poss OB. She recommended I dont birth in a primary unit so it looks like Dunners will be for us.

Hi Jessica! Lovely to have you back, I was wondering how you're doing.
Wow, just had a rough morning. Only just got home from the hospital. Jett's appointment was at 10:50am to see the paed. I allowed 1/2 an hr to get over there & get to the outpatients clinic. As usual there was NO parking in the carpark at the hospital. The parking there is pathetic and everyone parks illigally pretty much. I decided to park off the road on a grass verge, instead of parking down the hill which would mean a trek with the 2 kids, and being late to the appt. I knew once I'd parked I'd have trouble getting the car out, and probably get stuck in the mud. Made it into the clinic 2 mins before my appt time - but had to wait 40 mins to be seen by the paed! I should've in hindsight parked down the hill and been late, as it wouldn't have mattered.
I see the Paed who says Jett will have to go back to Waikato to get the abscess drained, and they would check this time for Crohn's. He said they'd give me a call - so no definate time! Although it's pretty urgent to get this new abscess drained, so I should hear from them pretty soon.
I get out to the car, load the kids in, start the engine, and the car won't move. I knew it! I called Dh who was around that part of town thankfully, so said he'd come get me out. I noticed as I was waiting, that another mum with 2 young kids (a newborn & toddler) who'd parked behind me, was trying to get her hand through a small gap in the car window. I gathered she'd locked her keys in the car. I went over to see her, and sure enough - she said in her hurry to get to her appt, she'd locked her keys in. She said she had no one to call either (which I think is really sad!) I said my husband was on the way & could probably help her out. In the meantime, a retired couple had seen us wondering around our cars with our kiddies & stopped to ask if we were ok. The guy managed to get some wire off a fence nearby & get the mum's keys out, just as DH was arriving to help me. So once the mum moved her vehicle - Dh was able to back my car out. Yay. Just as I was leaving, a car next to where I'd parked, that clearly looked stuck in the mud as well - the owner came out & was standing around scratching his head wondering how to get his car out. I was thinking maybe Dh could tow them out, but my thoughts took over with picking some McD's up for lunch for the trip home, knowing I'd be stuck in traffic most-likely and it was past 12pm. Traffic in Tga city is attrocious at the moment with roadworks, and so many cars around. When I was in the drive-through, Dh called me to say he'd helped the guy who's car was stuck, to get out. So that was nice of him. He said he was paying it forward - as Dh got suck in mud at the rugby game on saturday, and another guy came along & towed him out.
So it's been a nightmare of a day already! Jett fell asleep on the way home, so hasn't had any lunch, bar a few chippies. And I have to go & pick Rico up in an hour. It's bee rush-rush all day!!
Now I'm seriously thinking about writing to Tga hospital or the council to get them to put Parents with Young Children parking in the carpark. They have LOADS of disability carparks which are never all used up, so I think they need to do something for parents with babies. I thought before when visiting the hospital how bad the need is for more parking, but now I feel I have to write & say something!
Sorry the novel. Hope you've all had a better day than mine!

I don't envy you Nikki, having done a big shift myself mid-pregnancy! Hope you sort a MW and OB ok.
Hope Jett's abscess gets sorted soon. I think parking in ALL hospitals is crap . Honestly, they build a new hospital next to our current one in CHCH and don't even allow for any more parking. How dumb is that??!! And now they have raised the prices of the parking building so its more than the normal city council meters. Like visitors/patients don't have enough to deal with! And don't get me started on the staff parking, of which there is practically none and us nurses have to wait 3 years to even put our name down for the staff car park!
Right, having got that off my chest... ...
Hmmm, oh, I think Bella is in the process of cutting down to one nap. When she went from 3 to 2 she went through a stage of not sleeping at all (or very little) and now she is doing the same. You can tell she's tired around 10ish but you can't get her down, but she'll fall asleep in the car no prob (like today) then when you go to put her down in the afternoon (being pretty sure that she is near to exhausted after rubbing her eyes and yawning!) she sleeps for a total of one hour and then commences to scream the place down because she's still tired. Hopefully this doesn't last long as I was enjoying being able to take a catnap while she slept!!
We have also turned her round in her car seat. Its quite nice to actually see her now and I think she likes it way more (being a sticky beak and all) as she usually starts whining after 5 mins in the car, but today (apart from when she was asleep ) she was content sitting there and looking.
Hi Jessica, wow Lachie walking. Bella is still no where near walking - she has only just started to stand independently.

Hey girls, how's everyones day been? Had a laxed one here. My sister popped in for lunch, but nothing else exciting happened.
Jett is booked in next Thursday, for surgery on this new abscess. Now they're going to check for Crohns. I hope it nothing as serious as that, that's causing these damn abscesses, but I would like a solution, as it's getting rediculous! I'm really upset too, as DH goes in for knee reconstruction surgery (in a private hospital in Tga thankfully) on Wednesday, so I won't be there for him on Thursday. I'll take him to hospital on Wednesday, but his mum will have to pick him up on Thursday. So my dad is coming with me to Waikato.
Melln, how is it having your mum home with you, and has your friend had her baby yet? It's always exciting when a close friend has a baby, eh!
Well I'm in the middle of cooking tea, so better go check on it. BBL.

Morning
Well I'm a very grumpy and pissed off Mel this morning, Cooper has a burst ear drum that has a hole in it!! His ear is pouring out gunk and the poor boy is in so much pain that he can't bare to be touched! Farken dumbass A&E doctor should have been able to see that on Friday, so all weekend we've had the saddest boy in the world and it's all because of his ear, apparently the doctor should have given him ab's on Friday... his ear is alot worse than it needed to be. So I'm going to write a letter of complaint. He's now on ab's, Histafen and Pamol, so I've got one very drugged up little boy. He's also got an earwick in his ear to help the gunk drain out. GRRRR!!

I swear, when my mum and aunty are over, all we ever do is sleep, eat, shop, drink coffee and go out to dinner! lol! Not that im complaining cause i got a new jacket lastnight! Got the cutest little black tights and black longsleeve top for Briahnas birthday costume yesterday! I LOVE Cotton on Kids its such a cutie shop i could stay there all day. I was saying to my mum, if i were rich id go broke spending all my money on Briahnas clothes! lol.
OHH and we got the CUTEST shoes for her for her birthday. They were trying to hide them from me cause they wanted it to be a surprise for me as well but they got the wrong size and had to change it but there werent any of the ones they chose left so i had to choose another pair. They are bobux and OMG i nearly screamed when i saw the price. $55!!!!!! Thats more expensive than the pair of shoes i got the other day! They were $30 lol. The shoes are totally cute though!
Anyways, i am off to have some lunch or something!
Byeee xx
p.s im SO sure i wrote a post saying happy birthday to Tom, just after Mels post sayin happy birthday to him. How weird!
OH YEAH and my friend thats havin te bub, well on thursday morning she went into hospital then after 4 lots of gel ad 3 days bub still isnt here. She was sent home to rest. lol. Am waiting to here if anything more has happened.

Sorry to hear about your grandad, Kandice. I hope you managed to get your shifts changed so you could go & see him. Cancer is a horrible horrible thing. My dad had kidney cancer a few years ago, but thankfully they caught it in time before it spread, so they just removed the bad kidney. But his cousin wasn't as lucky, they didn't catch his kidney cancer in time & it spread everywhere & he died of it, a couple of years after dad's was found. That could have easily have been my dad!
How is Cooper today Mel? That sounds awful with his burst ear drum! How nasty. Hope the AB's are working for him.

Hi agan everyone, a quick question.
Lachie is pinching (it bl**dy hurts) and is obsessed with the mysky decorder, especially the bright on/off button. How can I stop him from doing both things, he is driving me nuts. I say no if he pinches and move his hand but he just thinks we are playing a game and the same with sky, I say no and move him to his toys but he goes straight back giggling all the way, very cute but not want I want him to be doing. What do you all do in similar situations, am I missing something?
