Hi There, I had Mirena in for 5 years (as I had irregular periods, sometimes with clotting etc) and had it out at the start of May 08. My periods returned a few days later and have had 3 regular ones in total since then. My partner and I are TTC, but I was wondering if after being on Mirena so long that it could have some sort of affect on me conceiving? I have been charting my temperatures daily and everything seems to be spot on there (period & ovulation dates etc) so am hoping that we will conceive soon! I know I should give my body more time to regulate itself after using the Mirena, but as everyone here knows thats easier said than done hehe.

Is there anyone else there that's had similar experiences or going thru the same stuff?

I haven't TTC after the Mirena but I did research it and ask the Dr who put mine in about post-Mirena fertility and everything I read and was told said that it won't affect your fertility.
My Dr said that pretty much as soon as it was out my fertility would return to normal.
All the best for your TTC!

I am the same as Mel, I had looked at getting one put in and asked about conceiving afterwards and my Gyne told me you would be back to normal within the month.
