Hi there. Could you please recommend a brand of bouncer/ rocker (no teddy bear prints of garish colours!) that you like? Will a crochet-type one fit the bill or do we go all out deluxe with a toybar and adjustable positions etc? They seem to be quite expensive! Open to suggestions - many thanks

We've got the Fisher Price Infant to Toddler rocker, you can get them from Kmart, and they are awesome, they convert so you can use them from newborn right thru to 18kg/4yrs, and have a toy bar and a vibrate function. You can usually get them on special for about $70-odd at Kmart which I know seems a bit steep but we have more than had our moneys worth out of ours!
This is lil miss in hers, it used to be the gremlins...

We had a crochet one, the only problem with them is that they need some kind of cover so that baby doesn't get "honeycomb head"
For Kryssi we got a basic rocker and I love it. Check TradeMe in the first instance if price is a big issue for you (no offense intended - it is to us!)

I have a BabyBounce which is the old fashioned mesh type bouncinette
www.babybounce.co.nz
and we found it great for Miss Keziah when she was a wee dot because she was always a few degrees hotter than the rest of us so having the whole mesh cover thing was awesome for keeping her cool, and being born in late spring/summer she was always in it sitting in the shade on the front stoop
I have mine for sale if your keen
