Can anyone recommend a good dentist and is really gentle, dont use needles if it can be avoided and wont mind me swearing if he hurts me.

I think one of my fillings are coming out and I guess I better see someone. I havent gone to one in a few years (yip I know really bad)

What price am I looking at for a normal check up and then for a filling? I know it depends on what needs to be done but averages will do. And someone that perhaps works on a Saturday or some night a bit later. Otherwise I will have to do it in the morning and get Grant to work from home or something.

Please help. ( I am seriously petrified now.)

where are you located ?

the dentist i used to work for is incredibly gentle, hes very concerned about how the patient is feeling pain wise

Prices vary from place to place, as dentists can set their own prices , at this one it would probably be at least 250 altogether, its a bit pricey , but very good, and limited pain .

PM me if you want more details

You're in Botany aren't you? I recommend Botany Dental, on Botany Rd... ask to book with Vicki (she's usually there Weds/Thurs I think). She's really good - she's gentle and kind and explains stuff well. But.. she doesn't work on a Saturday or late night. I used to nanny for her kids.

Sorry can't help you on price though cos my parents pay

Do you not work at that dentist anymore Kelly? Or is the place you're talking about the one you were at before the place you're at now? (sorry that sounds way confusing, hope you know what I mean lol).

HAHAHAAHHA liz, that dentist on Botany road is who I used to work for , he has a practice in Pakuranga that i was mostly at .
He (as in Vickis husband, the owner) ripped me off when i left, was supposed to get $1100 , but only got $ 480, because my DAD , not me , owed money on his bill , um , you cant do that . Dumb a*s hole, i cant stand him , BUT the dentist i used to assist at Pakuranga , was very good .

If you're out my way (Botany), I recommend Sanctuary Dental, down in Botany South -- it's down Te Irirangi Drive on the right. They promise pain-free dentistry and I absolutely love them. They have massage chairs in private waiting rooms... Bliss. :)

ooh I was just about to start a thread about this.

I think my filling's on the way out too. My tooth is killing me and I've never had a toothache before

Anyone got recommendations for the Shore? I'm not worried about needles etc. just need someone who does good work and comparatively cheaply.

That's really bad about your payout Kelly. Vicki is a great dentist though.
