today i am officially feeling huge! lol, sometime over the last day my belly has popped out and i am remembering how tough it is! haha, the discomfort.... the inability to do simple tasks! ie... bending to pick up a toy! although i didnt get this bad till the last trimester last time.... hmmm.... not looking forward to how im going to be later on, im only just coming up 20 weeks!
i shouldnt complain though, i hardly showed both last pregnancies and i was sooooooooooo hoping this time i would show and look like a sexy mumma! so i have kinda got my wish, along with the discomfort so i guess i am happy!
woohoo! i have a belly! YAY!

hehe, yeah i gotta remember to BEND AT MY KNEES!
|
Posted By: jax
Date Posted: 01 April 2006 at 7:22pm
I always bend 'down' rather than 'over' or sideways, like doing a squat at the gym. Looks a bit funny sometimes but is much easier on the body / belly
And I know some people don't like it but I still use Photobucket ( http://www.photobucket.com - www.photobucket.com , the only other one I can bring to mind is Flickr ( http://www.flickr.com - www.flickr.com .
When you load the photo to your account, you should be provided with different types of links for when you want to show other people your photo. To put it into posts on this forum, you need the link with 'square' brackets --> [ ... ]
Good luck ! Can't wait to see the photo

sorry *james* hope i havent offended you or anyone saying i felt frumpy.
frumpy to me is just in general feeling blah.... that week i was having bad hair... tired eyes.... not fitting into clothes..... tummy all squishy in places.... etc...
not to mention that i carry a poor self image.
hubby says im looking great and seems really "in love" with what he sees, i still struggle to see what he does a lot. but for the last few days have been feeling pretty positive and seeing myself more through his eyes.
WE ARE ALL BEAUTIFUL!!!! we just have to see that more than most of us do.

actually that's what i am doing an assignment on right now - body image and pregnancy - it's really interesting that something like 80% of women think their weight gain is over the top and too huge, when most are within the normal weight range. and the biggest fear for most women about childbirth at all - is trying to loose weight again afterwards.
hey, just a quick ask.. how many have actually had a HUGE amount of trouble loosing the weight - i mean we all keep a few xtra kilos but surely at least some of it went? (not trying to hijack post at all!!!)

hi janine,
i didn't ever go back to my previous "normal" weight after having ella but i did lose most of the extra weight. the things i have actually found more difficult to deal with are saggy deflated boobs and stretchmarks on my bum, i just don't feel as confident or attractive naked as i did prior to being pregnant.

Ive had major trouble losing all the weight. I was probably slightly overweight to start with then with KObe gained about 20kgs at least, (got GD) and only lost about 5kgs thanks to WWs before getting preggie again this time round and have already gained about 10kgs so as you can imagine I am huge and I do heaps of walking trying to eat good etc but figure after this baby Im starting a major health kick!

after jack i was only 6kgs heavier and so far this time i havn't gained anything. i've always been up and down and was trying to loose weight before i got preggers but then thought i might as well just wait and loose it once cos i'm going to need to after this bubs for sure!!
mum2emj and caramel, i think you both look fab! maybe i should post a pic of my belly to make you feel a little better

well for me.....
hope this doesnt become a novel.... and im going to include my weights ( ) when i first got pregnant with my firt daughter i weighed 72 kgs. i jumped to 87kg's at the end of my pregnancy. i dropeed a few kg's but quickly gained it again (although i have no idea why, as i was walking lots everyday and eating healthy.... anyway, i got pregnant again when my first daughter was around 7 months old, my weight was 87kg, by the end of that pregnancy i was 98 kg, i dropped a bit of the weight again, but was back to 96 kg until my daughter was 5 months old.... then i stopped breast feeding her, and my weight piled off till i was back to 74/75 kg when i got pregnant this time 1 year after i started to loose weight
loosing the weight was actually pretty easy though, after i struggled with my weight from my first daughters pregnancy.

ok so on the frumpy thing oh my gosh that is exactly how I have felt the last week. The weight thing I was bigger before I preggy with Alan then I was after Ihad him I did heaps of walkign after he was born new town and all had nothing else to do and prior to getting preggy and during I was working in a supermarket and had chocolate on hand. This time I am hoping to lose it just as fast although it will be winter and going for long walk's with two might be a little tricky

lol Deb, not if you get a phil and teds buggy - am not being corny - it seriously helped me SOOO much. I would have never been able to do anything had i not had it. It is alittle pricey however so not for everyone - but you can get them on trademe for an ok price.
Caramel - I don't think many of us get used to the saggy boobs and flabby tummy. - most women aren't happy with their bodies anyway, and after being preg - it just gets worse i spose - doesn't matter what size you are.
When i was a nanny, i had a few half days off a week - and i would spend that time baking all sorts of yummy treats, but since i was at home alone, and bored, i would usually end up EATING a fair amount of that baking myself... while reading, or on the computer, or whatever. I went up to 80 kilos, which for me was large as i am quite short. somehow, despite doing nothing different it all started falling of me once i started nursing study - and i was down to 55 when i found out i was preg. gained 9 kilos while preg. after i had paris it took a while to start to shift the weight - but after a few months, it just fell off me despite me being at home and eating a heap again when i was bored. - when i found out i was preg with Ayja, i had got down to 51 kilos, and was seriously looking terrible, and wanting to GAIN, everyone was going on and on at me about how bad i looked and i felt ick cos it wan't like i was deliberately doing it! now i don't know what i am. i didn't weigh all thru my preg, nor didi iafter i had Ayja, and still have no idea.
Sometimes i wonder but mainly i just know i'm an ok size.. (apart from my flabby tummy, and thighs) i guess what i'm trying to say is no matter what size you are, being a mum comes with even more consciouness that your body isn't what it used to be.

Hi Holly,
I'm guessing you tried to upload a photo into your post? For it to show up you need to upload it to a photo hosting website somewhere on the internet, there are heaps out there, but a really common one is Photobucket. Once you have an account (free) and have put up the photos you want, it should provide you with a series of links to help you share them etc. To make your pics show up in posts here, you need the link with the 'square' brackets, like this --> [ ... ]
Good luck !
